How long do you give this franchise til you're tired of waiting?

    I don't cry over spilled milk, only fumbles.

    As far as us being closer now, we always say that. But I do agree we are on the cusp of doing bigger things.

    Both the Giants and Patriots have amazing slot receivers. Nate Washington is beginning to generate what Victor Cruz and Wes Welker do for their offenses. I'm ready for August to come around so we can see if Washington is ready to break out and be that guy Cruz and Welker are.

    I can wait forever if I'm not shelling out money each year for WAY over-priced tickets. People who purchased PSL's have "invested" a bit more than fandom in the franchise. It intensifies the experience- both the thrill and the agony.

    I think it is reasonable for anybody who has put their money where there mouth is to expect to see the franchise get a ring. Especially since some franchises make it look so easy to get multiple rings. After all, that is what they are paying for with those ticket prices right?

    Don't anybody get bent and start the line about you don't have to have PSL's or purchase tickets to be a good fan. That is not at all what I'm saying. I AM saying that people who have "bought in" have invested more and have a right to expect some return on their purchase. If those folks didn't "buy in" the franchise would be somehwere else. So don't get so "preachy" about what a good or "true" fan is.

    The wait is part of it... and the longer you wait, the better the feeling when your team finally wins it.

    There are still 14 teams that haven't won a Super Bowl. We're not alone here.

    I'm not willing to ever give up on this team, it's too much of a good time being a die hard fan, but I'm tired of us underachieving. TheSureThing and TitansErick voice how sick of it they are, well I'm sick of coming up short too.

    I'm patient, this year we had a lot going against us, but next year we need to make the most of our opportunities. The 2008 Titans were opportunistic, and we need to get back to that while we can.

    I just don't want the window to close on us how it did the 2000 team. We had several shots from then til 2004 and here we are still waiting.

    It's okay for the Cardinals, Bengals, and Browns to stink, they've always stunk, but the Titans..... We're suppose to be better than that.

    Last year when we were 6-10 people were asking me when I was going to find a new team or were even asking me if I was still a fan of the Titans (though I had never given them reason to think otherwise). I told them and explain to everyone else, I am not a fan of this team because they win. I’m a fan because they represent the state I love, the city I love, and because they’re my team. If anyone is a “fan” because a team wins and then abandons them when things get rough, they’re not really a fan. Just someone who jumps on bandwagons and chooses the hot team at the moment so they can feel like winners themselves. Such fans will NEVER have the same satisfaction with winning that true fans like us will have when our Titans finally hoist the Lombardy trophy in the not too distant future, because we stuck with them through VY, Fisher, and those heartbreaking playoff losses.

    This team has had waves of talent and done little with it. With last years draft turning out how it did for us, and 2011 being a winning season, there's lots to be optimistic about going forwards. We're witnessing the beginning to something special, but I will be madder than hell if we blow this.
