Brian Quick is awesome. I got to watch him his entire college career, granted it was against 1-aa competition. He was faster and bigger and stronger than the dbs he faced. He caught bombs from Armanti Edwards all day and knows what it is like to be part of winning team. He did have a huge drop against montana in a national semifinal that I will never forget because it was the last play of the game and App lost but I would love for him to be a Titan. I'm real biased though as I was at App for all the national championships. But seriously he catches most things thrown at him and I believe has some real real potential with his size and speed. Oh, lastly and probably most importantly, he did get brought back to earth this season when they played at virginia tech. but the whole team got whooped that day. He didn't even have time to run a route before the qb was on the ground.

Good call on Brian Quick, that dude is a beast. He looks like a man among boys playing at that level, wow. I'd love to draft him, again, I'm just unsure if WR is as much of a need as the many other areas we need help in. It's going to be really interesting to see him perform at the combine and how high he climbs as a result. He looks to be a no later than a 3rd round pick, perhaps a 2nd rounder.

May have trouble getting Titans fans on board with a pick like this however... lets see. Big, tall, speedy WR from a small school w/o a lot of experience. Tyrone Calico anyone, lol? Calico's failure was due to injury I know but still the comparisons exist.

I wish man. But no way we sign Finnegan, Jones, Hillis, Hardwick, Meriweather, and Landry... lets just be honest.

Not going to happen. Love the AJ Jenkins pick (being an illini). However, he won't go that low, he'll be more of a 3rd-4th round pick i'm thinking.

If we could end up with this lineup, i'd cry w/ joy.

Out of curiosity what is everyone's opinion of Courtney Upshaw out of Alabama. I've seen a ton of mocks with him in the 15-20 area and imo he is a pure pass rushing monster. At 265 I think that he could play with his hand on the ground against the left tackle.

I also think that last year we laid the ground work for switching to a hybrid defense kind of like the Ratbirds use. Our first two defensive picks were Casey and Ayers both of which projected to be 3-4 players. If we add a 350+ DT (my favorite is Soliai out of Miami) and a guy like Upshaw I think we would have the versatility to play in both a 3-4 and a 4-3 front.

    3-4:
DL: Casey | Soliai | Morgan
LB: Upshaw | McCarthy | Witherspoon | Ayers

    4-3:
DL: Upshaw | Casey | Soliai | Morgan
LB: Ayers | McCarthy | Witherspoon

We could also rotate Klug in with Soliai for a smaller 4-3 pass rushing look.

A few people hopped on the Nick Perry bandwagon when he declared. I haven't seen him play a full game, but he doesn't look like the explosive, quick-twitch kind of DE that gets picked in the first round.

USC's website also has him listed at 6'3" 250. A smallish, not quick DE in the first round? Ehhh.

Not really sure what you expect, Perry is crazy quick and is projected to run 4.5's.

He also doesn't really fit the Titans scheme. He kind of reminds me of Aaron Maybin.
