If we assume that we win which is about a 60% chance of happening, our odds would be the same as someone hitting either a 3-team parlay, or one of two 4-team parlays which would be:

12.5% + 6.25% + 6.25% = 25%. Add a few percentage points because most of the teams we need to win are favored and its probably around 32-33% of everything happening after we assume we have already won.

sounds about the way I feel about it.

Just might be making back too back trips to Mooston!

and regardless of anything else would be nice to take some of the shine off the cows only PO game by having it be a familiar opponent - lol

Titans: Get the No. 6 seed if they win and the Bengals lose, plus either the Jets win and the Broncos or Raiders lose, or the Jets lose and the Broncos and Raiders both win.

Tennessee has to beat Houston and Baltimore must defeat Cincinnati. Those two things are the absolute two main things that have to happen and if it does the other smaller scenarios will most likely happen.

    AFC PLAYOFF PICTURE..........

Patriots: Clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs by beating Buffalo or by having both the Ravens and Steelers lose.

Ravens: Clinch the AFC North and a first-round bye with a win or a Steelers loss. Clinch home-field advantage with a win and a Patriots loss.

Steelers: Clinch the AFC North with a win and a Ravens loss. Clinch home-field advantage with a win, a Ravens loss and a Patriots loss.

Texans: Locked into the AFC No. 3 seed. Week 17 is meaningless to Houston, and the Texans may rest many of their key players.

Broncos: Clinch the AFC West and the No. 4 seed by beating the Chiefs, or a Raiders loss.

Raiders: Clinch the AFC West and the No. 4 seed by beating the Chargers and a Broncos loss. If the Broncos win, the Raiders can still get a wild card if they win and the Bengals lose, plus either the Titans lose or the Jets win.

Bengals: Clinch a playoff spot and the No. 6 seed if they win, or if the Jets lose and either the Raiders or Broncos lose.

Jets: Get the No. 6 seed if they win and the Bengals and Titans and either the Raiders or Broncos lose.

Titans: Get the No. 6 seed if they win and the Bengals lose, plus either the Jets win and the Broncos or Raiders lose, or the Jets lose and the Broncos and Raiders both win.

    Titans must win.
    Baltimore must win (Bengals loss).

    AND

    Jets/Chargers win.

    or

    Jets/Chiefs win.

    or

    Dolphins/Raiders/Broncos win.

    Vegas Odds: Titans make playoffs

According to the initial point spreads:

    Tennessee by 2½ over Houston
Miami by 1 over the NYJ
    Baltimore by 2½ over Cincinnati
Denver by 3 over Kansas City
Oakland by 3 over San Diego

    This puts us in……:D

I visited the Texans message board. Out of the four teams they could face in the playoffs, their poll states they want to face us least.

Here are the game times for week 17 that matter:

    TN at HOU: noon
    NYJ at MIA: noon
    BAL at CIN: 3:15
    KC at DEN: 3:15
    SD at OAK: 3:15

This means if we beat the Texans we will not know out outcome until after the second games, no matter who wins NTJ/MIA......Then we sit back and watch.

    :pop:

    GO TITANS!!!!!!!!!!

Nicely put. And just to clarify to everyone, the slashes don't mean OR, they mean AND:

    Jets AND Chargers win.

    or

    Jets AND Chiefs win.

    or

Dolphins AND Raiders AND Broncos win.

There's no games in those scenarios where I think there's no way that'll happen, and we actually have some flexibility with the 3 different scenarios that can get us in. Still I think it'll probably be scenario 3 and we'll miss by one result, probably the Jets beating the Dolphins.

Well, gee, go find a team that is awesome and cheer them on; you know, like the Packers or the Pats. Don't waste your mental and emotional energy on a team in which you can find nothing good. sheesh

Oh, wait, the Packers got beat by by that nothing team, KC, didn't they?:sad2:
