Playoff Breakdown

    Yeah, I just saw that.

    Anyway, in that scenario, Oakland and Tennessee will have the same conference record. So then it turns to head-to-head since the Bengals get eliminated, therefore:

    Head-to-Head is out
    Conference is the same
    Common Games is our way (though not sure on the rule since we play Houston twice and they played Denver twice). So I guess we win it from there.

    I just did it on Yahoo AND ESPN and they both have us in with my 3 scenarios.

    Division record doesn't factor into Wildcard, can't be much more clear than that.

    Wanted to bump the current playoff scenario for us.

    We've had some crazy things go our way in the past. Maybe if we beat the Texans and get in we'll be able to upset somebody or roll as underdogs.

    Been playing around with the ESPN Playoff Machine and this looks to be the accurate scenario. (I didn't factor in any ties.)

    To clean it up a little...


    Titans must win.
    Baltimore must win (Bengals loss).

    AND

    Jets/Chargers win.

    or

    Jets/Raiders/Chiefs win.

    or

    Dolphins/Raiders/Broncos win.




    One other win and we wouldn't need all this help.


    Titans/Texans, Ravens/Bengals, and Jets/Dolphins are all noon games. So at least we'll know who to root for in the 3pm AFC West games, if it matters.

    IF we make the playoffs, I will be soooo G-D happy IDK what I'll do. Who cares how inconsistent we've been all year, everyone is 0-0 is the playoffs.
