Jared Cook Sucks

Exactly, instead of using his Big frame to shade defenders inside they send him on wr routes. Doesn't even seem like we have a TE.

I remember 2 slant plays in the saints game total. Once to mariani in the end zone that didn't get caught and once to Washington during one of lockers drives.

 

Tashard Choice is injured.

Otherwise, yeah. Super bowl.

 

I agree somewhat. I don't think Cook has ever been used as effectively as he could have been but he's had 2 different OC's. Dinger didn't use him alot supposedly due to his inability to block correctly AND he had difficulty with his route running.

The combination of Palmer's lack of creativity and Hasselbeck's fast read's just aren't a good combination for Cook. He just isn't that quick and his route running isn't crisp. He has decent hands but I'm comfortable admitting that trading away a 2nd round pick to take him in the 3rd was a bust move.

I'd rather see Palmer get the boot than either Hasselbeck or Cook. Clearly Locker should have started over Hasselbeck. WTF ?

 

Good point. Remember the huge play against Cleveland..... why aren't we running that play at least once per game? And using CJ like a WR running quick slant plays is idiotic. Sure run him across the field but don't expect him to make catches in traffic like a WR.

Soxcat I am sure 'The Playmaker' looked pretty real good split out wide in pratice.

 

Jared Cook looks like a larger Beetle Juice, the wack-packer from the Howard Stern Show.

 

That and his crazy grab over Ed Reed against the Ravens. Both this year. Just saying.
