Long time reader, first time poster.

It sucks that we won't make the playoffs. Yeah we have a chance, blah blah blah. Anyway, I feel good about our future. Jake Locker looks good so far and I'm really excited about him. Nate Washington has really stepped up this year, and looks to be a solid #2 by Kenny Britt. Damian Williams looks like a good possesion reciever and good in the endzone with dragging his feet.

CJ is having an off year, but he will still most likely get 1,000 yards, which is impressive. I feel like our offensive line needs uprgaded at center, which is fixable. Tight End needs to be uprgaded somehow. When Cook is called on he has failed.

I really like our front four. Casey and Klug are beasts, and Jason Jones actually stayed healthy for a season. Morgan came back too early. His injury usually takes 2 years to fully heal, and he came back after one.

Linebackers look great, Make sure we resign Witherspoon. McCrath sucks and so does Ruud. You can let them go, because we have McCarthy and Ayers.

Griffin, just isn't that good. He misses tackles, looks lost at times, and just hurts the team. He's like Chris Hope, who WAS good at one time but isn't now. Let layers go, sign Finny to a long deal. That should be our first offseason move. Babs is decent. Verner and McCourty are both good, but I prefer Verner more, but the defense isn't bad.

All in all, I think were on our way up. Fix the offensive line, let Griff, hope, and Ruud go via free agnecy. Draft the best playmker for safety or offensive line, and then get some layers through free agency. Im telling you, a good offensive line with Britt, CJ, and Locker all clicking, we could be a good team!

Unless we can swing a big FA signing, or draft a safety high there's no way we can let Griff and Hope go. Griff isn't great but he's at least serviceable, who the heck do we have behind him anyways?

In my opinion our biggest needs are on both lines, if we can fix up the oline then hopefully CJ can be half decent again. And if we improve the Dline so that we can get decent pressure without sending a blitz, than I promise you that Griff will look a million times better, along with everyone else on the defense.

My plan for the off-season would be something like:

Let Ruud, Scott and McRath go.

Fix the Amano problem, which can be done through draft, FA, or swapping Amano and Harris' positions, and finding a replacement for Scott (Velesco maybe? He's looked good when he's had to play in my opinion.)

Resign Babs, and draft a SS as well, maybe not in the first round but in the first three rounds for sure, hopefully we can get a first year starter, if not Babs will do for the time being.

Resign Griff if he'll sign for reasonable money, and keep him as a starting.

Resign Witherspoon (Didn't know he was going to be a FA?)

Sign or draft a bruising back to split time with CJ, I'd looooove for us to sign Michael Bush he would be perfect.

    Start Locker.

    Fire Palmers bumas.

Address Dline heavily in the draft, if we don't go Oline first round, then I'd like a good pass rusher.

    Hope Britt stays healthy.

I thought Spoon was a free agent after this year? Idk. I think Casey and Klug will be good and I think Jones is if he stays healthy. I think our D-line will get better, their just young.

But yes, let Ruud, Mcrath, and Hope walk. I think we can get a good defensive guy at pick 15-20? Is that where will be if we miss the playoffs?

I actually feel terrified for the future of this team. I think we've put Fisher Jr. in charge again and I think we may be in for another long stretch of mediocrity. I'm afraid Munchak doesn't have the fire required to motivate his players. We have come out completely flat too many times this year.

Yes, we weren't expected to do very well and we're at 7-7 with a shot at the playoffs, I understand that. But that's like telling me CJ is bad only because the O-line is struggling. No, it's obvious that CJ has lost a step and has no motivation. It's also obvious that Munchak is just a bystander during the game. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose... you sure wouldn't be able to tell what side we're on by watching Munchak on the sideline.

Locker looks great, the whole draft class looks great. But in this league you need a good coach to win. Personally, I don't think Munchak is the answer. Don't even get me started on Palmer.

No. Get Hope out of here.

We could draft a 1st-3rd round SS to replace him. As for Griff, I'd like him to return.

When Munchak was hired, he talked about accountability. He said he would hold people accountable to do their job. So far, I see little of that. Maybe he's getting it done behind-the-scenes (which is how it should be handled) but I'm seeing a lot of players on the field making the same mistakes.

There is no excuse to allow Campbell to stay in the game after the second time he blocked in the backā€”and especially after the personal foul. This can't be tolerated if you want anyone in that locker room to believe they are being held to some professional standard.

I fully understand trying hard and not succeeding but the Titans were not ready to play yesterday. Here we are in week 15 and we see players lining up wrong, Hasselbeck and WRs still not-on-the-same-page. They even blew a handoff. Cook has fumbled the football multiple times for bad technique and he did it again. Where is the accountability for members of the OL who were blown backwards repeatedly yesterday? CJ dancing down the LOS instead of hitting it upfield?

No, the coaches are not on the field but, if they are allowing those players who continue to make mistakes to stay on the field, they are as much to blame. Until the coaching staff is ready to hold the players to a higher standard, and follow through, I think we'll continue to see mediocrity.

    preach on brother!

and for the people about who want 33 retained. A FS is supposed too make the open field takle and defend the deep ball. Griffin has done neither with any sort of consisentcy and its been multiple seasons since he has. He can go and take that juicer Hall with him and then the Titans will be free of stupid Texas players

The future is embarassing because the new boss is just like the old boss.

Team not ready to play per se , botched plays , poor execution , ill-discipline and even playing obviously injured vets for three quarters over a fully serviceable and more than adequate replacement.

The whole franchise has seemingly adopted the "Fisher" malaise that "just average" cuts the rug in Nashville.

This is Munchaks first season but if this was New York or Chicago where they have proper sports journalists and not the candy-arsed variety that inhabits Nashville , they'd be using Munch's arse as a toast rack this morning if their boys had lost to an 0-13 team comprising a whole host of second stringers in the way yesterdays shambles was presented.

This squad has many underperforming dummies that need showing the door. It currently has at least two and maybe even three coaches that are underperforming and need to hit the road. Will it happen ? Don't you believe it.

Outside of Locker , Britt and Finnegan , at the moment and excluding CJ , this team has no other difference makers.

This ain't pessimism , its realism.

When Munchak actually shows the colour of his pants and adresses the real issues , you can start to believe. Until then , please keep showing up week after week to watch the Fisher carnival albeit with a different nametag.

We have a nice young core on D. McCarthy, Ayers, Klug, and Casey will need to keep improving; and become playmakers. We must resign Finny and Jones; both have been playing great.

As for Offense, hopefully Britt can come back and continue to dominate. Hasselbeck shouldn't start for the Titans ever again, and Locker is our star. CJ is pissing me off, and is a joke. Some posters have his back, and after he had a couple good games people thought the old CJ was back.. NEWSFLASH it was vs the Bills and Bucs! He's average at best, and we're paying him superstar money. Nate and D-Will have filled in nicely since Britt went down. We need a TE, Cook sucks, and Stevens is no more than a solid #2. Our OL is the biggest problem for this team. Amano is terrible, Harris is trash, and even Scott has been average at best. Even Roos and Stewart have struggled this year.

So how do we fix this? Like this:

Resign: Finnegan, Griffin, Jones, Stevens, Velasco, Bailey, Babineaux
Let Walk/Cut: Hope, Ruud, Hawkins, Scott, Amano, Ball and Hayes.

    Free agents:
    Nick Hardwick
    Fred Davis
(will be hard to get any other FAs, after re-signing Finn, Griff, and Jones. And paying CJ and Hasselbeck).

    Draft:
1st: Devon Still, DT, Penn St
2nd: Kelechi Osemele, OG, Iowa St
    3rd: Andre Branch, DE, Clemson
    4th: Harrison Smith, SS, ND
    4th: Jermaine Kearse, WR, Washington
(Still is a monster, and a beast at TFL, him and Casey can wreck havoc in the middle. Could allow Klug to go outside more as well. Osemele is instantly our starting OG, he's a run-blocking OG, and actually pushes the DL back. Instead of being pushed back like our current OL. Andre Branch gives us the legit pass rush force we need. Harrison Smith is a sleeper in the draft, big hitter that can actually COVER. He's also from Knoxville, so would get to play in his home state. Finally, we finish with Jermaine Kearse AKA Lockers go-to target his senior year. I wouldn't mind going WR in the 3rd, if someone legit was avail)

This makes our lineup look likeeeee:

    Roster:
QB: Locker | Hasselbeck | Rusty
RB: Johnson | Harper | Ringer
    FB: Hall
TE: Davis | Stevens | Cook
WR: Britt | Washington | Williams | Kearse | Mariani
    OT: Roos | Stewart
OG: Harris | Osemele | Velesco
    C: Hardwick

DE: Jones | Morgan | Branch | Klug
DT: Casey | Still | Klug | Smith
    OLB: Ayers | Spoon
    ILB: McCarthy
CB: Finnegan | McCourty | Verner | Campbell
    S: Griffin | Smith | Babineaux

The organisation was set back 5 years with the Vince Young & Jeff Fisher marriage. I believe that not breaking the cord and bringing in an outsider as Head Coach will continue to hold this franchise back.

We were told it would be different. It isn't.

    It's mediocre.

    It's .500 football.

It's the same recycled junk in press conferences.

He is a Fisher disciple, even if he doesn't know it or think it.
