At best you can say it's one of the reasons we missed the playoff.

To say it IS the reason, as in that's the only reason and everyone is blameless is... irrational. :wink2:

I'm tired of negative fans bi*ching about EVERYTHING. Is that a poll option?!

Seriously though. Can we not focus on the fact that we're even in the playoff hunt?

I voted no, there is no way you can put all the blame on him if we miss the playoffs. In that jags game the D gave got ran over by mjd and if I'm not mistaken griff got bowled over by him like he always does at least once a game by an opposing player. Not being able to get off the field on third downs and they doubled the Titans time of possession that game, which in part had something to do with cj not doing anything. Or not being able to finish off the bunguls?

and I think I am up to a whopping 53 posts, so this one goes out to Keith Bulluck, wish we could have had him in there week 1.

Of course not, and not for any of the ridiculous options in the poll. One guy simply cannot be blamed for this over the course of a 16 game season. It's not CJ's fault Big Ben diced us up for 5 TD when we played the Steelers. It is CJ/OLines fault we lost against Jacksonville. It's not CJs fault we couldn't stop Arian Foster or Owen Daniel. I suppose posters like Ewker, GoT, and Cruds, all of whom have some sort of personal issue against CJ, would certainly pin all of this on him. But guess what, our defense gave up 35 and 42 points in two separate losses. If we were close in every game that we lost, perhaps you could make an argument out of it. But that's not the case.

Some people want him to not succeed because he held out and they think he's greedy or self centered because of that. Frankly, I don't blame him. RB have a short life in this league, and he got his while he was at max value. If we miss the playoffs by one spot, we should all go back and look at some of the preseason prediction threads and think about where we thought we'd be vs where we turned out. I promise you that in August not many of us were talking about making the playoffs or even contending for a chance to.

That ONE particular game? Against a nobody team? The first game of the season? That's what kept us out? Had we beat Houston, we're only behind them by a single game right now. That's his fault too? When we gave up 42 points and let Arian Foster do whatever he wanted? Or against the Steelers, when Big Ben threw the ball all over the field to the tune of 5 TD? How about the inconsistency of our defense? They're not equally to blame? CJ is one guy. He has looked rough at times, but he also won us games. The same can be said for our entire defensive squad. Against the Panthers Browns and Ravens they were stellar. Against the Steelers Texans and Falcons they were terrible. Pinning all of this on CJs performance in the opening game of the season is ridiculous.

And again, the OLine sucked right along with CJ. No if, ands, or buts. Why do they receive none of the blame?

Because they don't make all the money! Oh wait..the o-line makes like 120 million spread out between 4 players. :grrr:

lol...I had that up my sleeve waiting for someone to be like "Well the oline didn't hold out for a huge contract". They didn't have to...our FO willingly paid Eugene Amano some ridiculous contract, yet CJ had to hold out to get his. CJ>Eugene Amano, in case anyone is wondering.
