Yeah he's definitely more decisive and hitting the hole harder. But I also think he looks quicker too. I think, regardless of what he might say, he wasn't in that great of (football) shape at the beginning of the season.

The "CJ apologists" are seeing whats actually happening. The pecker suckers like you are seeing what they want to see.

CJ2K is back, get over it.

At this point, I don't think anyone is denying that CJ is playing great RIGHT NOW (at least I haven't seen anybody). But the reason this CJ debate continues to rage on is that the CJ fan club seems intent on proclaiming themselves "right all along" based on two games and are trying to rub it in everybody else's face.

The people, myself included, who thought he would likely never be an elite back again appear to have been wrong. And as Titans fans I think most of us welcome being wrong about that. But some of you guys need to be willing to admit that he WAS part of the problem earlier in the season and at least some of the criticism he received was well deserved.

Unfortunately for CJ, he rubbed A HECK OF A LOT OF FANS the wrong way throughout his holdout and the beginning of the season. So in all likelihood this is going to be his life for as long as he's a Titan. Sure, people are still going to root for him on the field. But from now on there 's always going to be a rather large group of fans who won't hesitate to jump on him at the first sign of poor play. I guess that's what you get when you call your fans fake and stupid.

He was out of shape early in the season no doubt, he MAY have even been a little hesitant. But you guys can keep accusing him of hot dogging it becuase he got paid, or curling up to avoid contact, but you're wrong. Flat out wrong. The people who claim CJ didn't care or wasn't running "hard" are the ones that see it how they want to see it. They are the ones who claim he got ran down by linemen, etc..

If CJ has a pooper of a game this week we'll have 4 more threads about how hes done and hes lost his speed. Ridiculous. He's going to be inconsistent for as long as our offensive line is this terrible.

It's crazy how Chris Johnson's "Slow" is still faster then most RB's top speed. Is he "slow" because he hasn't seemed CJ fast? I don't see how he is slow even on runs that he didn't look like his old self in.

If you edit it to "CJ looks "Slower" then his usual self most of this year!!!!!" Then everyone would agree.

He was avoiding contact at times. I really don't see how you can say that statement is "flat out wrong". And he was not running as hard at the beginning of the season either. See, you're not wanting to put any blame whatsoever on CJ. You'll say "yeah he was out of shape" and "he MAY have been a little hesitant". You won't even outright say he's been hesitant at times. You have to stress the "may" in that sentence. :ha:

I saw him called out not only by members of this forum but by local and national media several times for being hesitant and dancing around. Guess they were all just "seeing what they wanted to see".

    Riiiight...

that's why 90% of Titans fans, almost all analysts in the media, etc all said it looks like he's lost a step...

while 3 fans here stick up for him nomatter what- and not just on his speed. On everything he does wrong. Contract, things he's said, etc.

    You think that's a coincidence?

Please remove your head from your arse. You can't breathe on the sh** you're talking.

I say MAY because CJ has always been hesitant waiting for the hole and then exploding into it. But when their are no holes, its hard to know whether he's being more hesitant than usual.

And you say he was avoiding contact, he was also lowering his shoulder and pounding his head into 300 lb defenders as well. Every runningback avoids contact, they're trying to prolong their careers which IMO is nothing to criticize a 190 lb speed back for...

your the only one who seems to care that hes lost a step. All I care about is the question of is he effective? (Best Runningback in the NFL last 5 weeks statistically, thats efficiency) and the W on sundays (hes put the team on the back for 2 straight.)

He has been effective for 4 weeks.

I guess you'll pretend we didn't witness the first 8 or so that he was god-awful and didnt make a single tackler miss?

Would have been nice to have him here while we had legit shots at playoffs... you know?
