I'd agree with this..Not invisible, disappointing at DE though were I thought he'd be a sack machine.. I don't get it.. He was a undersized DT getting to the QB, I thought he'd be a machine getting to the QB at DE..

Have a feeling that market for JJ may be higher than will like to pay.

That's the thing, he may have just been quick enough to pass rush from DT very well, where as he isn't fast enough to get there from the end. If that makes sense?

 

As much as we all want a stud WR in the draft, I think the Titans almost have to look for a pass rusher in round 1. It's the hardest piece for find on a defense and it's definitely missing. The young linebackers and secondary are definitely something to get excited about, but the defense can't become elite until it can generate a more consistent pass rush.

 

As weak as our pass rush has been, we're still only giving up 19 points a game, which is an improvement from last year.

REMEMBER: we got bigger, therefor we also got slower. I don't think defensive line is our first need. We need to be able to keep drives alive, score points and both are things we've struggled to do at times. We extend drives by getting 1st downs and our defensive stats improve.

I think JJ has been better than some here have given him credit. He bats down passes, makes tackles downfield, etc. I think the defense is better with him at DE. People's expectations just weren't in line with the role. Most people trashed Babin and now you got a guy/system that doesn't make those mistakes and they are invisible because they aren't on the sack leaderboard.

I think guard or wideout is our priority in the draft if we have one we are interested in at our pick. I would not mind seeing a pass rusher picked though.
