He didn't really impress me in the preseason and in the few snaps in the regular season he's looked extremely nervous.

One of those passing touchdowns as a fluke TD and decent stats against 2nd and 3rd stringers isn't going to impress many.

this is very true, this league changes so much and will continue to i think.

in the modern nfl, teams like the packers, colts, patriots, saints, eagles, and chargers are leading the way with star qbs and wrs - im not talking this year im talking for maybe past 5-10 years. even the 'old skool stealers' have changed from their Bus days. Rasheed's role has been far reduced, with now Big Ben and Wallace leading the way.

the way the league is going, im not sure there will be good defenses anymore. all these rule changes make it very hard to CONSISTENTLY play good on D, unless you have a lot of Talent (ala Ravens when they got it one year).

you could flaw your arguement by just looking at the titans team you are talking about in that time frame in the AFC south. the league was in transition sooner than you thought. the titans of which u speak playing against the colts, sure we beat em some, but they had our number. our tough D and eddy couldn't stand to payton with Marvin and Reggie, unless Air pulled off some magic....

The Giants won the Super Bowl the year AFTER Tiki retired. Same for the Colts with Edgerrin. 0-2 there.

Jamal Lewis and Priest Holmes were the same RB's on the same Ravens Super Bowl team. Priest averaged 500 yards per season with the Ravens during his 4 seasons with them..hardly 'elite' caliber. But, when asked to be 'The Man' tell me how the Chiefs did with him. Aside from Jamal Lewis' 2003 season, he never made the pro-bowl, and never had double digit touchdowns...that's hardly elite.

Marshall Faulk was elite, but only won a Super Bowl on a team that was named 'Greates show on Turf' highlighting how ridiculous Kurt Warner and their passing game was. And, you left Warner off your QB list...hmmmm.

Corey Dillon (from your original list) never even made the playoffs until he went to the Pats with Brady and snaked a ring.

Your list has shown that the best RB's are essentially nothing until they get on a team that has an elite QB. Even with it incredibly skewed, QB's outnumber them 6-5, not taking into consideration the multiple rings the QB's have. And you have proven to me even further that QB's are the ring 'earners' and any RB whether elite or not can sneak onto a team with a strong QB and ride his back.

As incredible of an organization as the Steelers have been, and are known for their defense and ground and pound, you may be surprised to know that only 2 QB's have rings for the Steelers.. Bradshaw and Ben. Even with an elite run game when they have bums behind center the best running teams in the NFL can't even muster up a winning season, much less a Super Bowl victory.
