    Locker would regenerate this offense.

Actually this isnt a bad idea, put him in now no but in the future if we lose two or three straight yes, think about what ponder did for the vikings he rejuantved the vikings offense, Locker could possibly do the same thing for our offense so it's not a bad idea but right now No

Hasselbeck is not the problem, so why bench him? In reality, without him our record would be much worse. Last time I checked he does not play O-Line, he does not play RB and he definitely does not play defense. I would bench CJ and let Harper play before starting Locker.

I agree with this post somewhat.

I would like to see Locker get his chance more towards the end of the season if we arent in the playoff hunt.

Watching Hasselback play reminds me of Kerry Playing, Hasselback is a lot better than Kerry no doubt but when both are in our running game takes a big hit.

If you remember Jake Locker has some wheels on him, not the kind like VY has but if we get him in their the last two games, get him running some bootlegs get him moving around some design runs I would imgaine we would see the old Chris Johnson like when he played with VY. I mean look how McCoy is doing with Vick. Your also seeing it in Denver with Tebow and Willis.

If we could utilize Locker right it could rejuvinate the offense

But I also agree with most posters on here Chris Palmer wont use him right so will be throwing him into the dogs I would hope let Hasselback finish the season and hopefully next year we get a young more open minded play caller

I'm kind of conflicted on this myself. It isn't that Hasselbeck is the problem, it's just that he's not the solution. I know most of it is the WR's, but he's had his share of wtf moments.

Jake could get some valuable experience right now... or he could just get knocked around for eight weeks. He would basically be in Blaine Gabbert's situation minus a running game, but Gabbert sucks anyway. Then again, maybe he settles in and makes the situation better, like Dalton and Ponder. Would he be playing catchup with the other QB's in his class who are starting games now next season?

You wanna bench the best player on this team right now?! Great thinking!!

The guy has 62% completions, 13 td's and 6 int with a QB rating of 90. So clearly it's his fault!!

I do believe alot of our problem is the play calls and the oline. With that being said, we just got outplayed by a team with a rookie at the helm and our chances this upcoming week don't look that much better.

While these rookies learn with game time experience, our rookie sits on the sideline and watches high level mediocrity. What's he learning? How to blow games in the second half? At least if you put him in them we add the threat of a scrambling qb and he has a great arm. Hasselbeck is fine in the medium and short game but can't throw an accurate deep ball to save his life.

I for one am tired of this team waiting on next year to improve. Let's go today. Put your future out there and if he can't get production then it will stop them from making Hasselbeck the problem next year. It will force them to do something with the oline now.

I know that many don't agree but I would rather have him making his rookie mistakes this year as we are 4-4 (soon 4-5).
