I don't disagree with that, but this isn't a high school or even college team. Pros should show up each and every week. They should not need a super hyped crowd to get going, them getting going would make the crowd hyped. You have the cart before the horse.

I think a lot of it has to do with the attendance being down. The rowdiest fans can no longer afford to attend games in this economy. Instead, LP Field, like most stadiums is full of affluent people that clap like they're at a tennis match. It's not just in Nashville, I am noticing it in Cincinnati too.

Thinking about it I bet about 1/3 of the PSLs around me have flipped in 15 years. That does not seem too awful bad

 

I was at the games vs Baltimore and vs Houston. After Baltimore, I didn't have a voice for three days, literally, from all the shouting and cheering. After the first quarter of Houston, I didn't raise my voice above a conversational level because that's all you needed to use to complain to the guy next to you.

 

The idea that the fans wouldn't have expected much is pure BS. It was for 1st place! We had people posting here that the game was not an even matchup with Mario and Andre out.

Why would fans ever stop cheering? So when we were down 21-10 against the Eagles in 2002 that was a time to sit on your hands? We came back and won that game and the fans were really in it.

When you are down by 13 is when the team needs you more.


Judging by message boards we have too many whiners who think 8-8 is no better than 3-13 and people who actually want us to lose at times for a better draft pick. I thought this was a football town? Too many fans who want super bowl or the top pick and have no pride.

We need to stop taking the team for granted and start supporting them and when the especially when the team is struggling. Complain about it after.

I didn't stop cheering because we were down by 13. I stopped because we were down by 27 and showing absolutely no sign of interest in stopping Arian Foster or scoring any points.
