    Wow, just got home from work and read about coach Heimerdinger's passing. Not much more I can say that hasn't been said already... he was a great coach and an even greater man. Cancer is a scary thing. RIP Dinger, you will be missed.

    RIP, Dinger. I've always been a fan and saw him as a nice, classy guy. I have tremendous respect for him sticking with the team last season. I wouldn't have done it.

    Reading comments from guys all around the NFL confirm that. He left behind a lot of good friends and family. 58 is still way too soon to go.

    I was sad when he left us for bright lights, big city. I was elated to hear he was coming back. Shocked to hear of his diagnosis. Saddened today. RIP 'Dinger.
