there is a good link on there that showed it was Ruud's fault on that MJD TD. It shows picture by picture of how they used zone blocking to literally own us.

    Titans O vs. Jaguars D

The Titans never seemed interested in making Chris Johnson a part of the game plan. They clearly thought early on that Matt Hasselbeck could beat Jacksonville’s secondary. Problem was, Hasselbeck, despite relatively good protection all afternoon, struggled to establish timing with his receivers. He seemed to read the field after the snap more than before the snap. The Titans’ athletic third-year tight end, Jared Cook, was particularly disappointing. He was inept as a blocker (physical execution was slightly more of an issue than mental execution) and failed to capitalize on opportunities as a receiver. Jacksonville’s secondary was good but not great. Safety Courtney Greene might be viewed as a liability in coverage as the season progresses.

    Jaguars O vs. Titans D
The Jaguars did all they could to hide Luke McCown…and the Titans let them get away with it. Tennessee willingly operated out of its base 4-3 defense while the Jaguars pounded the ball for three-and-four-yard chunks. Had the Titans blitzed safety Chris Hope in the first half as they did in the fourth quarter, we might have seen a different outcome. Maurice Jones-Drew showed his usual patience and slipperiness, and Deji Karim displayed drastically improved quickness as a third-down back. Neither made any particularly big plays, but both performed well enough to give the offense sustainability. McCown did not make any crucial mistakes, and he converted a huge third-and-eight late in the fourth quarter when he saw wideout Mike Thomas working against linebacker Barrett Ruud. Jacksonville’s elementary approach was enough in this game, but this formula probably won’t be enough most weeks.

    As for Britt: (CBS sports.com)

"Britt has a touchdown in three straight games and will look to extend his scoring streak in Week 2 against the Ravens, which is his first ever matchup against the AFC North heavyweight. Britt is coming off a fantastic performance in Week 1 against the Jaguars, going off for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The Ravens are one of the better defensive teams in the NFL, however, Steelers WRs burned them for 208 yards and one touchdown on 17 catches in Week 1. Britt has 24 catches for 477 yards and four touchdowns in his last five games. He is quickly becoming a force to reckon with in the NFL. It might be tough for Britt to match his Week 1 numbers, but he could still have a very good day, so consider him a viable Fantasy start in most formats in Week 2."

"Ravens to blanket Britt: When the Titans selected Kenny Britt in the first round of the 2009 draft, the Ravens had the former Rutgers receiver rated high on their draft board. In Week 2, Baltimore coach John Harbaugh plans on blanketing Britt throughout the game. “I don’t think he’s disappointed at all,” Harbaugh said. “You have to know where he is at all times.” Titans coach Mike Munchak said Wednesday that the team will make an effort to target Britt as much as possible Sunday.

Ed Reed's Dirty Hit on Johnson (http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/20...ety-ed-reed-on-his-dirty-hit-on-chris-johnson)

That is the dirty hit that Ed Reed and the rest of his Raven buddies put on Chris Johnson in the playoff game following the 2008 season (open link for picture). Anyone who has two eyes and isn't a liar would say that there was intent to injure on that play. Why else would you pick a guy up who has two of your teammates and one of his own players laying on his legs as he is going to the ground?

Reed had a conference call with the Nashville media today and said that he didn't try and intentionally take CJ out according to Jim Wyatt:

"Nothing is ever intentional to try and take any guy out,’’ Reed said in a conference call with Nashville reporters. "My game has never been like that and I know these guys don’t play like that either."

There are a couple of things about that statement that just aren't true:

    1. That was absolutely intentional in an effort to take out a guy who was torching them.
    2. Yes, Ed, your game is like that. You can say it isn't, but the picture above tells a different story

To finish it off, a picture from the 'Hey look....a stupid jaguars fan' article off bigcatcountry.com

"Well, it's making the rounds so I guess it needs to be addressed. Apparently a Jacksonville Jaguars fan thought it was not a terrible idea to put a Steve McNair jersey on a skeleton with bloodmarks. There's no defense for the tasteless action here, and I quite frankly don't know what to say."

i too find this completely inexcusable - regardless from what perspective....

Final Bit of Hope against Ravens
Tennessee Titans expect to have Derrick Morgan, Jason Jones ready - as per Tennessean.com

that's huge...after watching a non-existent pass rush against the jags. no one realized how much of a difference that made. i honestly felt if we had a healthy jones/morgan combo the game would have gone different

That classless stunt of dressing the skeleton in a McNair jersey is enough right there for me to strap on some pads and whoop azz. If that doesn't get these guys going IDK what will. I know most this team has no connection to Steve McNair, but that's a shot at the entire Titans community, new and old.

Jason Jones and Derrick Morgan need to rock Flacco's world. I can't wait to see McCown again, that sassy bast@rd needs his teeth punched out.

I still don't think they were trying to injure CJ by picking him up as he was trying to reach the ball out.

And it's not Ed Reed's style anyway.

Titans fans have to stop whining about little things like that. If that's "dirty" our entire team should get the death penalty.

It was more the refs' doing for not blowing the whistle sooner.

What was most disappointing was the fact only Leroy Harris decided to stick up for his teammate, there should have been 9 other guys throwing Ed Reed off CJ.

True. And I do think they were being unnecessarily physical. Being frustrated and trying to make him not want to carry the ball... but that's football.

Don't think they were trying to injure him though.

    Yeah. McCareins. haha.

Seeing it in video again, it wasn't near as late of an incident as I remembered. Can't call that dirty at all.

I am having a week from fcuking hell! The best thing that could happen for the people who cross my patch would be for one of the Titans players to knock Ray Lewis and his gang of thugs on their azzes. At least that way I'd feel a little better about having to deal with the chit I have to deal with, otherwise somebody is getting buried come Sunday 4pm. I don't even care if we win or not, I just want to see the Ratbirds have to deal with losing one of their better players and costing them a Super Bowl run. I hope we take Suggs out at the knees, break Rays collarbone, snap Ray Rice limb by limb, and step on a few faces along the way. Hell kick them while they're down, pull a Charles Woodson, what ever it takes to show them they're not leaving Nashville in one piece. If one of our Linemen get ejected for fighting, fanfreakingtastic! Beat them like we're in the back of a bar, seriously.

I glanced over to the ratbirds forum to see what they had to say about us. Just say they think we're a pushover team and we got beat by the jags along with mcclown. I'm ready to see the titans to open a case of can whoopazzes on these ratbirds. Maybe we'll get some espn coverage after the win....nah probably not.
