I don't post here as often as I used to but I read this and had to say something.

First and foremost let me just say this. Our interior offensive line is probably the worst in the NFL. Eugene Amano and LeRoy Harris get BLOWN UP within a second every snap. Don't believe it? Go re-watch the game. Chris Johnson was ineffective because of it. Play calling was also a huge part of it. There is absolutely no way on Earth you only give CJ 4 carries the first half. If you want to blame this on CJ then please give valid reasons as to why it was his fault.

The lack of practice and conditioning by CJ was a factor but the BE ALL END ALL as to why he couldn't get anything going was because of our atrocious interior o-line and play calling.

He will be back to doing what he does best in Week 2. He will still get blown up on some plays though because of our lack of O Line.

It's really bad this year. When is Munchak going to admit he was wrong about Amano and get someone else in here? Same with Harris. He's not as bad but he's still horrid.

I don't think our Oline is that bad at all, they showed they're very solid all preseason without CJ. I just think CJ sucks as a running back, runs laterally and the defense just strings him out. meanwhile Ringer/Harper just get up the field and peel layers. I'm sick of CJ, period.

While I can understand and expected some to feel this way, there was no way anyone was running the ball with any real success behind an O-line that was playing that badly. Not to say CJ has the offense down pat, because I personally saw Hasselbeck talking to CJ after the huddle broke. That is a clear indication that CJ wasn't fully ready yet, but there were NO holes to run through until the 4th quarter. When they did open holes for him on a couple of runs late in the game, he hit them just fine and got a couple of decent gains. I honestly don't think the O-Line gave the RB's a chance. Bottom line is the O-line was horrible at run blocking and slightly better (still bad) at pass blocking in week 1.

I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy we gave CJ was 2K all that money and mortgaged our teams future.

I am not sure why people are saying it was the Oline's fault. They can't force cj was 2k to run up their arses. I guess all that money in his pocket made him too damn fat to fit through the holes.

Everything is CJ's fault right? What happened to the D and what about Hasselbeck? I guess because CJ holds out everything falls on his shoulders. I mean come on. Get real. The game was lost on both sides of the ball. CJ yes his timing is off but the OLine sucked.

There are still 15 games left so damn get over the loss and move on. Stop blaming CJ and start blaming the "team". We need to play a full game and not wait until the 4th to start.

Focus on the Ravens because they beat the crap out of the Pittsburgh and they looked good. I have the ravens but I hate the Steelers more.

    Go Titans!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree the O-line was awful. But anyone who thinks CJ was ready to start is kidding themselves.

And I really don't understand how people can just say, "he'll get back in the groove in week 2(/3/4)" and give him a pass. It was a frakkin' divisional game! In a season where the division is truly up for grabs.

No, CJ definitely doesn't deserve all of the blame. But there's no excuse for our "best player" not being ready to play in such an important game. Harper looked like the more effective back yesterday.

cj has opened this can o worms all by himself... by holding out and claiming he needs
" playmaker " money he's gunna get tons of attention and blame, especially when he lays an egg and looks lost out there. his stupid tweets arent gunna help him either.

obviously the whole team lost and its not all on him, but he will continue to be focused on until he shows up in a game.

The line stunk yesterday... both offense and defense.

But a $13M/year man is paid to take the team on his back and carry them, week in and week out. Maybe CJ just misunderstood - he wasn't supposed to just LOOK like he was running with an entire team on his back.

CJ is only a $9.21M/year man. Jussst sayin'

But yes, the line WAS HORRRIBLE. Especially Amano. Terrible. It's sad when we have two HOF OL on our coaching staff and still have a terrible interior OL.
