3 biggest questions I have for this up coming game...

    1. How do we use Cj and how many carries will he get?

    2. Does Matt take advantage of the one on one opportunities? You know when Cj is on the field there will be 8 or 9 in the box...

    3. How will our defense fair against the tough running style of the Jags? Bears gashed us....

Hasselbeck wont look very good. He will kick fumbles and look a lot likecollins imo. Cj will get the box stacked on him unless Hasselbeck can air it out.

Im not sold on grays defense.

    1) Gotta make sure Munchak has all the players on the same page so they can put their best foot forward.

    2) You can't just stick your toe in the water, you've got to jump right in and make sure you're ready to go and make things happen.

    3) This is what you spend all year getting ready for and you want to go out there and put your best foot forward.

    4) Kenny Britt. He's got great feet, he moves around well and he does some good things out there.

    5) A lot of teams you don't see all year, so you definitely have to be on your toes and make sure that you're ready to go

Get C.J. in the passing game. Jared Cook has a coming out party. Stuff MJD and make them throw the ball. Get off to a fast start.

I do know one thing about gray's defense it looks a hell of alot better than anything cecil ever put on the field. On third and long we may actually see a blitz.

    1) We use him to keep the defense off balance. I'm thinking an average of 15-18 touches.

    2) I think teams are in trouble if Hasselbeck can connect on the deep ball. Teams aren't going to be able to put 9 in the box with the WR's we have along with Cook. If our playcalling is up to par we could once again have a top tier offense.

    3) I don't think they'll run on us. I'm more concerned about our pass coverage.

    Well...

    1. 10-15 touches...especially if we're winning and Ringer/Harper combo is working. Maybe more if we're not.

    2. Matt will try. I expect to see Britt and Cook lighting them up when we get 1 on 1 with the occasional 20-40 pass to Wash. Could also get a few nice screen passes to our RB's. It'll be interesting to see if Palmer goes for the jugular or take smaller bites out of them in the passing game.

    3. I think we will do very well but a lot of that rests on Marks and Ruud doing their jobs. Also depends on keeping our DL healthy and rested. With Jones hurting, Morgan probably out, Smith not a spring chicken, we will need Marks to play like a 2nd rnd pick, get some help from Ball and Sheppard and some impact from our rookies. I am HOPING that Babineux taps out Hope on all 3rd and forever plays. This will be a good test for Ayers blitzing and our CB's/LB's covering.

    I expect us to win!

And while it's only pre-season, we saw a lot of positive signs on offense and defense about what our focus is for both sides of the ball.

    1. Stop the run. If we can limit MJD, the Jags will be dead water. Garrard will NOT beat us with his arm. Plus, there OL is pretty bad and I expect us to get some good pressure on Garrard.

    2. Air it out. If we can get some decent 20+ yard passes going (Britt/Wash/Cookie), it'll set us up to destroy them with our run game. CJ will get at least 15 touches, no less. Don't be fooled.

    3. Win the turnover margin. This is something I expect us to do, ultimately being a key factor in us picking up the W.

Matt is the best qb we've had since McNair IMO, and I see Matt having a better year then Cj mark it down....

I think we'll go into Jacksonville doing what works, of course we don't fully know what to expect from Munchak in his first game, but I suspect he'll take some shots down field early. Both our starting WR's are good 20-25 deep threats so I wouldn't think the Jags would want to load the box from the beginning, they'll likely test C.J. and give him some room to start. From there we could maintain that strategy if it works or we could flip it and run screens so C.J. gets room to move in the open field.

Easily the best QB we have had since McNair in his prime, say 03 season. CJ probably won't get as many touches this week as in future games. But to the point...Stuff MJD, blitz garrard, spread the ball around on the passing game, CJ and company will rush well past 100 yards. Titans win in a walk....31-13.
