Trade his azz for Lesean McCoy and a first round pick. Draft Trent Richardson next year. I'm getting to the pissed off and f'it point now. What is one more throwback to add to the closet?

Correct. My bad. Bud could have given CJ $50M is he wanted without any cap issues.

Not that it would be wise to do so.

I mean, if we plan to maximize our allowed cap in the next few years and buy expensive free agents to go for a championship. It's brilliant if it works. It's costly if it doesn't.

    And it's unquestionably high risk.

But it is within the realm of possibility that it could have worked.

If I was 80 and a billionaire and all I wanted before I died was to see my franchise win a Superbowl....

    I think I'd do it.

Philly doesn't have enough cap space for that.

One league source tells Profootballtalk that Chris Johnson's next move may be a trade request.
Coach Mike Munchak has already stated that Johnson will not be traded, and we don't expect that stance to change. Johnson tweeted Thursday that he "just got advice" from an experienced source and will give an update "when the time is right." That advice and the PFT report may be more than coincidental.
