If that's the 2 options- let him ride the bench, take the fines, and sabotage the rest of his short career.

CJ doesn't hold the cards here.

He'd better take what he can get.

I would only trade him, if we got a ton in return.....

I don't see how he's tradeable because he would have to agree to a new deal with whatever team gets him - before they sign the offer. My guess is he's shooting for the biggest contract but in reality will settle for what he can get. Slippery slope to renegotiate a deal with 2 years left. Especially for a RB where most of the top teams just don't pay the big bucks

I agree. That is why I think MR is doing the right thing here.

What he can get is the biggest deal ever for a RB. MR already said he's willing to go that far.

yes he can but for some unknown reason that isn't enough. If he thinks he is getting QB money he had better think again.

Let him sit for two yrs and possibly ruin his career.

...or just negotiate a deal that makes him the highest-paid RB. Which is what's going to happen and is clearly what's best for both sides.

What good would letting him sit do for either side?

Does anyone think C.J. will holdout next year after getting his money? Adrian Peterson is looking for a new deal between now and next season. If A.P. gets a bigger deal, will C.J. pull this crap again?
