I'm against this idea of moving him, but I'll play along.

I don't like that proposal. TJ Ward is nobody special, Hardesty is ok but coming off an injury, and for me to be on board to move C.J., I'd need a good replacement. The draft picks are enticing, but who's gonna carry the ball for us, Ringer?

    -New coaching staff
    -Drafted a QB top 10
-Signed a decent QB to fill in for a year or two
    -Very young core of WRs
-Free Agency fixed by short term contracts
    -Defense still very young

If this isn't rebuilding then I'm one depressed fan because this team isn't going anywhere right now.

Trade CJ for 2 1sts, TJ Ward, 2nd

    Draft
    DT J. Worthy
    CB J. Jenkins
RB T. Richardson in the 1st

    2nd round
    WR M. Floyd
    OLB T. Lewis

Offense: Locker, Richardson, Harper, Floyd, Britt, Williams, Cook, Stevens
Defense: Jenkins, Verner, McCourty, Ayers, Jones, Casey, Worthy, Morgan, McCarthy, Lewis, Curran, Griff, Ward

Very hypothetical. But thats a hell of a young, fun team.

I wouldn't shop him... but if a good offer came up, I'd listen.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to get two 1st round picks and then some. If we were looking for a trade they need to go after a good RB and a top pick.

Our WR's are the best we've had in years. Britt is better than Mason or Bennett and D-Will has the potential to be a standout WR as well.

Cook could turn out to be better than Wychek.

Our defense is young, but better than last years just from the new coaching staff alone.

I honestly don't know how we're gonna fare this year, but I do know we've made some improvements in the off-season. The big ?? for me is the QB position.

People are mentioning him because the Raiders are the only team dumb enough to trade a good player + multiple high draft picks for a holdout like CJ.

Yeah, but he's gotten a ton of the money already, and his bonus.

    2011: $7.055 million, 2012: $5.65 million, 2013: $5,856,250 is what he has left.

DL- Morgan healthy, moved Jones to DE
    LB- replaced Tulloch w/ Rudd
    DB- McCourty vs Verner

I'm confused where people think we're not rebuilding. We signed guys for depth and just one new starter on defense.

    QB- Hasselbeck (quick fix)
    RB- ....
    WR- Nothing
    OL- Nothing

    Again, nothing.

This rookie class is going to get more playing time in the first year than I can remember. Ayers is a starter, Klug looks like one, Casey in rotation and Harper should get some touches throughout the season. If we're bad, Locker will get PT too.

He hasn't been paid $40 million already. He has to have big salaries and some big bonuses left on his deal. You listed just the salaries.
