I'd make him the highest paid RB. No more, no less. A lot has to be said about our OL making those holes for him. They can make any good RB look great.

CJ has the ability to put points up fast or a lot of 3 and outs from negative yardage. There can be something said about a consistent back that can average 4-5 per carry, help TOP and keep the D fresh.

So according to you GoT, it was CJ's responsibility to make up for a moronic head coach, a completely horrible D coordinator, and an awful QB (Collins)?

    That's true.

I wonder how CJ will work with Munchak?

One main problem I had with him in Fisher's offense was that he was the worst kind of RB for Fisher's style of play.

Especially when you have a defense that is already bad. It was either 3 and out due to his short runs or 1 quick TD... giving the defense no rest either way.

This is very true, Fisher pounded him up the middle like he was Eddie.

Totally 100% disagree with getting rid of CJ. He is the Tennessee Titans imo.He has been the only constant on a crummy team to be honest. Reward the guy, don't chide him.

    LOL seriously?

What happened the last time we had a defense, right, CJ produced wins. Haaaaaater lol

And just for the record, I don't think CJ should be paid as much as Manning, Brady and company as I do agree running backs are plug and pull players, if you got a good line and system, you'll be able to run the ball. But CJ is a top 3 back so he should get paid like a top 3 back at least.

If CJ suits up, opposing defenses will stack the box...again, all season... nice way to help out your rookie QB, just sayin'.

While you might have a point here I still hope no Colt, Jag or Texan fans trolls this board and see how pathetically ignorant some of these Titan fans are about football.

So back to your potential good point. Let us assume for a second CJ was being used like a square peg in a round hole by Fisher. And in that wrongful use of him he still managed to put up three very fine seasons, one the most yardage from scrimmage in NFL history. What does that say? What is the point? What that tells me is CJ is one tough dominate SOB. He can carry the load at less than 200 pounds as well as anyone.

Imagine how effective of a game changer CJ could be if used properly.

Of course, as usual, you totally miss the problem with the offense and it wasn't just Fisher/Dinger. The problem certainly wasn't CJ. It was the fact with 8 in the box (this was magnified after Britt got hurt) we didn't have a passing game to take advantage. Don't for a minute blame that on the guy who gets stuffed at the LOS as if Eddie George or anyone else could have done much better (what happens with them is they get 0-1 yards and NEVER break a long one).

Now if we dump CJ, go with a more average RB we lose the defense having to worry so much about our running game. Oh sure our RBs will still have some success. But it doesn't force the defense to pick their poison. We can have a great trifecta of Cook, CJ and Britt for Locker to work with. That is how you build championships and definately the best way to help a young QB.

The signing of D. Williams def. screwed us. I'm sure that was the amount CJ had planned out wanting from the get go. Of course CJ is wanting more than that now.

Go ahead and pay the man. What do we have to lose? No one in the league and in college is up to his caliber of play.

CJ WILL be in the starting lineup in week 1!
