yup this back and fourth in the media is making them both look bad. its becoming pretty obvious CJ isnt coming unless he actually gets some kind of estimate. he knows he'll show up and they will lowball him with something ridiculous.

Mike Greenberg said this a few days ago, and I agree:

If your boss gave you a call and said "I'm wanting to make you the highest-paid (insert your job title here) in the industry, but I just need you to report to the building. Not to actually work, but just come meet with me for a bit," I think I'd jump on that.

It's gonna get done either way, but it would get done sooner with him there, plus he could at least attend practice. In the end it will get done because both sides will give, which needs to happen anyway more so on CJ's part than the Titans.

That's what San Deigo thought with V-Jax, look what happened.

    I sure hope you're right though. :)

He may "be there" in week one, but as each day passes he is losing his ability to be in game shape in week 1. This can mean that he either does not play early on, or increases the risk that he does play, but gets injured early.

Not sure about you, but a $10-13M per year sideline fixture does not seem like a good investment to me. Geez, we could bring back Quinton Ganther for that...

Right, and, if you may remember, in V-Jax's first game back (when he "was there") he promptly got hurt.

Pretty much a wasted season for him and the bolts.

    wow.

just saw reports on 2 different websites saying that Johnson wants 13 million + per season.

while I agree he deserves a lot more than what he's getting now.....no way he is worth 13 million.

I could see matching AP at 10 mill/ per year. but no more. I see this holdout lasting into the regular season with his lofty ridiculous demands.
