I like Ringer as thej premier back if CJ has to go. IF he has to go tho. With out new potential air attack, I think he would serve fine in this new system.

I'm not worried YET. LaDainian Tomlinson never played preseason football. There's time. In fact, C.J. skipping training camp may benefit us towards the end of his contract, less wear-n-tear.

How honorable of him to take a pay increase and show up to his job.

    :sad2:

Reinfeldt has said publicly, on national radio, he will be the highest paid running in the history of football. Show up to camp, don't practice, go to meetings, get your money.

Both sides are being childish right now.

the deal was offered to him that he take the increase as a temp fix and the following season he would cash in. How can you fault him for doing exactly that and then being blackballed and lied to?

Whenever your talking money, there is no honor, only business.

He's not being lied to. He's set to be the highest paid running back EVER. The team's GM has said that publicly on national radio.

There was no opportunity to negotiate during the offseason because of the lockout. His deal could not be done during the 2010-2011 season because you can't renegotiate the same player's deal twice in one year.

If Chris Johnson shows up to camp and then the Titans try to screw him, I'll be on his side all the way. Until that happens both sides are to be blamed right now.

As for the 30k that he is being fined for everyday he misses, I am sure he isn't sweating it, they will most likely just plan on haveing it forgiven in his new contract.

The Titans haven't been fining CJ 30K a day. That decision is up to the team, and they haven't fined him. That make his holdout less ugly and not as frustrating; at least the team isn't fining him. Surely he's grateful for that.

I think sometimes people forget that there was football before Chris Johnson. He's a great player, but he isn't the end all be all to Titan football.
