Which of you guys is gonna make the celebratory thread for Vince's first interception this season (assuming there is a season and that Vince Young gets to play somewhere)?

I'm betting GoT won't be able to control him/herself...

declaring something don't make it true.

so I guess you don't want to discuss the PO record?

    whats to discuss?

you are putting a team record on one person. which makes zero sense. are you wanting to talk aobut the colts oline or defense over those years? no. you arent. you just want to point at "choking" or playoff record to break down 1 player. you have to discuss how manning played in those games. not the outcome

there were many people that said that manning cant win the big game. then he won it. those people look stupid. because they were making stupid comments in the first place

this moron steeler fan i was talking to said the other day that he would never draft bradford (even as a backup) in fantasy football. i asked why and he said because he cant take a hit. he somehow got sold on that idea because he watches espn too much. it is a retarded comment to make that idiots make to get ratings. then dumb people just eat it up and state it as fact. bradford has taken many big hits. manning has won many big games

Are all easily above him. And then guys like Matt Stafford, Josh Freemen, and sam Bradford are all questionably better than VY.

And that is without even taking into account that he can single handedly destroy a team, or his obvious lack of work ethic or leadership.

Gayton has lost many more big games than he has won.

Gayton is the focus of the ponies. If there is one player on one team in the NFL that determines wether that franchise wins or loses its Gayton for the ponies. It is the way they have structured their team. Even if you say Gayton didn't allow the J-E-T-S 41 points in that PO loss I saw it as Gayton failed to get his team the 42 additional points that the ponies needed for victory.

Well lets think about this shall we?

from 2006 to 2010, the colts defense as at least been in top 5 in scoring defense, posted a couple of number one rankings to boot.

In the 2006 playoffs, peyton posted a lovely 3td to 7 interception ratio and a dismal 61 qb rating, a rating full 10 points below trent dilfer's superbowl run. Trent Dilfer. TRENT DILFER. People say Trent won his Super Bowl because of the Raven's D. Same could be said about the colts d and run game. Colts run game had two 100 yard rushers and another rusher for 79. Thats 300 yards rushing in a single game with a 5.4 run average against the best run defense that year.

Peyton was average. 247 yards 1 td 1 int on 38 attempts. Not to mention almost half his completions were to his running back Joseph Addai.

He played conservative and scared and was a minor factor in the the Colts winning that day.

Now let's go to the Superbowl against New Orleans. Peyton actaully played very well through this Superbowl run. However, he showed he still had those same ole demons when he threw an ugly interception straight to Terry Porter.

Peyton has proved something to me though. Though a choke is a choke, you can still go about it in many different ways. Whether it's choking the entire time and depend on your team to drag you along, or just wait until it's crunch time and royally F*CK UP.

Amazes me how much he can do.

Hey Omaha, first let's get one thing straight, you strike me more as a Peyton fanboy rather than an actual Ponies fan so I think any opinion you may have is moot because you're just in love with your QB that didn't want to sign the richest contract in NFL history. Does he not want to play for the Colts anymore? Might want to start thinking about that.

So that aside, how did he choke his way to 2 super bowls? I never said he did. I said he's a flop in the post season where it matters the most. Peyton didn't win the 1st super bowl. Rhodes did a helluva job and Rexy basically handed it to the Colts.

His second super bowl. Was he directly to blame for that one? Not necessarily, Caldwell got outcoached by someone far superior. However, Manning played a huge part in that loss just like he does in 99% of his big games. That was my point. He wins a lot then loses when it matters. That's why I said he's not the best QB in the league and that's why I said he's a choke artist. Just plain old facts bud.
