    You don't need a FB to run the ball. Even in a power running scheme. Eddie George started out with the Oilers as primarily a 1-back before Lorenzo Neal ever signed. Eddie did just fine back then...

    IMO the best FB's I've seen in this type of role were Tom Rathman and Moose Johnston.

    Their above average hands made them extra weapons for defenses to have to account for in prolific 49ers and Cowboys Offenses.

    Those type of FB's also have longevity compared to the stereotypical head down wreaking ball FB's.

    If Harper can be that kind of player we will be fun to watch.
