it's not that easy, last year we said just let VY start and with Jason Jones and Morgan on defense we will make the playoffs. how did that turn out yo?

We are a new team with new coaches all around the board. we have a ways to go and a vet and free agent isnt going to do crap for us right now.

What do you mean? Burgundy and Gold Locker jersey?
Broken hearted after you guys stole Mike Shanahan's QB.

    Yep.
    Burgundy and Gold.

We don't know how it turned out because VY wasn't a full time starter and Morgan wasn't on defense yo.

Shanny got Cutler. Funny how they've both moved on. Meanwhile... VY is waiting to be cut. Strange how things played out.

what would be even stranger is if Shanny ends up bringing VY to Washington.Almost like a musical chairs kind of thing going on.

Tons of uncertainty going into '11/'12 season.. if there is one. :(

    New entire coaching staff basically.
Most important position in the NFL (QB), is a huge question mark.
    Not a easy schedule.
The lockout hurts us probably more than anyone.

But there is also a glimpse of hope for us. We must get a starting QB who can atleast manage the game. I'm not against starting Locker year 1 either, but there is a ton of pros/cons with that. We also need some young guys to step up: (Cook, DWill, a SS, McRath, Rennie, Morgan, Verner, McCourty, and Mariani). Hopefully a few rookies can have an impact as well. Then if we can land a couple FAs to help us as well, we'd be set, DT/SS/LG/C/DE could use starters.

    Personally here's my dream:
-Find a QB. Personally I want Locker, Hasselbeck, or McNabb.
    -Ayers and Casey step us.
-Verner becomes a legit #2 corner.
    -Cook and DWill become targets.
    -We find a SS.
    -Morgan stays healthy and dominates.
    -Our interior OL doesn't suck.

Is that too much to ask for!?

Right now, I see a 5-11 ball club. Hopefully we can change that.

Here's what I projected like two weeks ago:

We start out like 0-6/1-5, or something like that and that's with our FA/Vet QB... then we decide to start locker and he goes like 8-2/7-1 with tons of momentum going into the following year.

There are soo many rumors out there about McNabb vs the Shanahan's its crazy.

There's been some buzzing about VY to DC.

    But, who knows anymore.

I wish sports media only dealt with Xs and Os.

At this point right now, I don't see it. Even if we added a vet QB, I still don't foresee more than 6 wins. To predict more wins, I'd have to believe in our unproven coaching staff to perform miracles with all their new systems that they players have no idea about thanks to this wonderful lockout. Just because they have their playbooks doesn't mean squat. Not saying I don't think the coaches are gonna be any good in the future, but I don't choose to believe in things that haven't been proven.

If I were a fan of another team or an "NFL expert", there would be no good reason for me to believe this team would win more than 6 games, and only the inner homer would suggest 8-9. I've looked at the schedule and on paper we could win 5-6 I think, but the other teams are just better as of right now. Meh, pessimism has its perks, I'd happily eat my words in exchange for an 11-5 season. I'll still be cheering my head off but probably be drinking a little bit more than usual.
