I'd love for CJ to stay here and continue to play at a high level. He could end up being a lot of help to Locker in his first few seasons if he was able to stay.Sadly i do think he is going to test the market and some team is going to throw megabucks his way just like what happened with Albert.

He can't test the market until his contract is over. We've got the rights to CJ for another 2 years. If he decides to play hardball the next paycheck he'll get is when he's 27 and I can guarantee he won't get big bucks for the years going into his 30s.

trade him now and get as many draft picks as we can...then get another runningback next year....the position is the easiest to replace and he will want big time money as he held out before....what happened to playing for the love of the game instead of money?

there are plenty of running backs coming out of the draft this year that we could get to replace him and depending on what we could get out of him--help bolster our team of young talent

RBs are a dime-a-dozen but there are a handful that has the impact on defenses CJ does. Want to take pressure off Locker for a couple of seasons? Nothing does that more than having CJ in the backfield.

The Titans would be insane to do anything but extend CJ assuming the new CBA allows it.

The Titans NEED for C.J. to be a Titan for life. What other marketability do the Tennessee Titans have now? They stupidly gave up on Vince Young, blew the Randy Moss experiment, our legends are only legendary to us, and we don't have the Steelers, Cowboys, or Packers history, so really, the Titans need a Chris Johnson-like figure to stay a Titan. What else can fans get excited about, how will 12 year old boys rep their teams proudly? We need C.J. to stay a Titan. Pay the man!

Yep, CJ is our only star. If nothing else, he's very important to the franchise for marketing reasons.

Chris Johnson's production didn't decrease because of him. CJ's production tailed off because of Fisher and Dinger.

If you guys do not get him signed to a long term contract. You will lose him. He already thinks the team is not loyal and that they make bad decisions. Look at his praise and endorsement of Vince Young. And also look at the way that he doesn't comprehend why they would get rid of VY.

He's probably counting down the days til he hits free agency. Coaches running him into the ground, sending ALL his friends packing, not playing him right, not paying him right, I mean damn! If I were him, I'd be gone. In the past 2 seasons, this team hasn't shown much interest in competing, C.J.'s a competitor, he's gotta want out. Unlike all of us here, C.J. is not a Titans fan.
