So, is this guy going to be a starter day one? I've watched quite a few highlights of him, and I REALLY like what I see. If we rotate our DLine in the same fashion as Washburn did, he will fit in VERY nicely. This guy could be a stud, he's got the size, strength, and athleticism for such a large fellow. If he's a hard worker we may have hit a third round gem; only time will tell

Don't know if he'll start day 1 (doubt that), but I think he'll definitely be in the rotation day 1.

I think he'll be better than Sen'Derrick from day 1.

A great pick in the third rd. Very active and makes more tackles than almost any DT.

    A comparable prospect to Austin.

Works hard and will fit in well no matter what kind of defense we play.

Starter, no. The rookie D-lineman who starts on Day 1 is rare, unless a team is just impoverished at D-line. Contributor, hopefully so. He'll be best in obvious run situations and on the goal line, methinks.

I could see it. He will definitely see some significant snaps either way.

    Bye bye Jovan Haye :)

Here's what I see happening with our D-Line. MR said he had interest in adding a veteran interior d-lineman, I realllly hope we pursue Barry Cofield.. i'd love to have him. I believe Cofield will NOT be a Giant next year, According to multiple sources:
So it sounds like if we give his guy a 4-5 year deal for decent money, he'll sign with us. He's 6'4 305, has been the Giants starting tackle for 5 years, and is only 27 (just turned 27 in March). Sign this guy up, the added depth will allow JJ to move to DE. Then re-sign Jacob Ford, and possibly another DE for more depth. Our DL rotation than looks like this..

    DE: JJ - Ford
DT: Cofield - Haye - Marks
    DT: Brown - Casey
    DE: Morgan - Hayes

Only knock on Casey seems to be his age. If he's a mature 21 year old, his biggest weakness will eventually be his biggest strength. Give this kid a year or two and we'll have another real good DT on our roster.

Depends on if Brown is healthy and if JJ gets moved to DE. He could either start or get significant snaps early.

What about Klug or Ayers at DE and the other kid from Auburn? I expect Rocker will love him, and probably already did, that's why we drafted him.

We should kick Marks or Haye or Ford to the curb and make room for some non dead weight.
