    Overall I give us a B-.

Locker: I have said for months now that any QB this year in the top 10 is a reach, and I still think so. That said, I can understand, given the status of the CBA, our FO's desire to lock this in early. Also, I am hearing some good things from Locker so far, and I do recognize that the position is about more than numbers, so I am willing to bite my lip and move on with this.

Ayers: OK with this, not dancing in the streets.

Casey: Initially concerned with size, but after review am good with this.

McCarthy: Good pick...probably best of our earlier round selections.

Harper: I do not disagree that we needed another Blount, but, like Blount, I think Harper would have been available as a FA. Biggest reach (bigger than Locker) of the draft for us.

Klug: Size is an issue, but I like what I am hearing about his motor.

Stingily: I trust Munch and Matthews know what they are doing here, so good pick.

    Clayton: Late round pick...

Campbell: Love the story, will be rooting for him to succeed.

Not bad for Munch's first year, and I think that the CBA situation made the strategy this year much different.

I heard someone call in on 104.5's 3 Hour Lunch last week and compared his stats to Brett Favre's college stats...they were crazy similar

Bulluck could have ran a 4.86 backwards.

Favre had a 53% completion percentage
    Joe Montan had a 49%

college stats do not equate to similar production in the pros

everyone just needs to chill until we see this kid in action

fwiw, Locker completed 39 of 41 passes at his Pro Day

This is how I feel on the draft basically. I would give Ayers a C+ and Harper a C though. Harper was a reach, but he could provide the 1-2 punch we're needing. Personally I would of take Davon House or a SS there, and Harper the next round.

    Yer kidding me......right?

Pac-12 conference had 37 picks vrs the mighty SEC's 38 this year.......Oregon was in the National Champ game....Oregon, Stanford, Arizona State, Utah and USC will all be ranked in 2011.

    weaker-than-average? oyyyyy

Agreed, I watched a lot of the Pac-10 last year along with the SEC and TBH, the SEC is overhyped because too many people think it is better. From the games I saw the Pac-10 is just as strong. Plus Andrew Luck is probably going to be the number 1 pick next year if he carries on the way he did, along with possibly Matt Barkley going high. The Pac-10 is strong.

What are all of your opinions on the Locker pick? Which of you wanted Gabbert?

What about the other two full seasons he played? What's your excuse there? His stats were consistently bad no matter who he was throwing to.

Good Pro QBs share one major trait: they made the people around them better in college. Most of them also WON, even with inferior talent. Can you name one other player from Drew Brees' Purdue teams, Ben Roethlisberger's Miami (OH) teams, Donovan McNabb's Syracuse teams, and so forth? No. But look at their numbers, and look at their wins.

Low completion % + low win totals=low chances of pro success.
