I'd love to grab Sash with our next pick. Maybe then we could lose Hope and Nickey. Or at least 1 of them.

    Jamie Harper analysis:

Mel Kiper's Draft Report: Harper is a big, powerful, instinctive back with just enough change of direction to be not as one-dimensional as you'd think. He has a little bit of a bounce to the outside and he's a very good all-around athlete. He will run over people in the open field. There were some games in 2010 where he showed promise and the ability to develop into a guy who could end up contributing as a reserve back at the pro level. With Harper you won't have the explosion and gamebreaking potential, but what he does bring to the table is big back physicality with consistency from week to week being his forte.

Draftinsiders.com: His power and quickness is what will win an NFL roster spot, showing athletic ability to make the tough inside critical yardage and possibly start in time. He can be a solid change of pace runner with the ability to contribute in a few roles including a tough key goal line runner, in addition to projecting as a FB in a West Coast offense. He has good ball security to be a fine role player initially. He will probably fall to the later middle rounds off his limited career. Good later round steal, though he must answer some developmental issues to realize his NFL starting potential.

Mike Detillier's Draft Report: Combo halfback/fullback prospect. He has excellent size and he is built like he is chiseled out of stone. He has a strong lower body and he has excellent leg drive. Jamie is a very determined inside runner and he displays good field vision and running instincts. Harper is a very good receiver coming out of the backfield. He is a good, very tough pass protector and also a very good lead blocker when he really wants to be that type of player. Harper is a very intriguing prospect at both fullback and halfback, but where I think he will make an immediate impact is as a receiver while the NFL team that selects him finds the right running/blocking niche for him.

Pro Football Weekly: Was overshadowed by Spiller and Ellington, but Harper is a big back with enough speed, strength and receiving ability to contribute in a stretch-zone scheme. To do so, he will have to dedicate himself and adopt more of a big back mentality.

ESPN Insider: What he brings: Harper is a bigger back who is light on his feet and has above-average lateral quickness for his size. He needs to run with lower pad level and authority, but he has shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.
How he fits: Chris Johnson is obviously entrenched as the starter but his backup Javon Ringer hasn't had a chance to produce much. Harper has enough size so he could be interesting if he can run with enough toughness and determination.

I think our new defensive coordinator has a vision that is quite a bit different than last year. Every one of these guys that we have drafted has been a tweener or undersized. I think he is thinking light and fast and get after the quarterback.

I for one am anxious to see the identity of this team. Especially on defense.

Man its funny how much you people complain about every pick. Just because the FO didn't pick *THE* guy you wanted you're gonna crucify them?

We addressed our DLine and LB issues, got a hopeful franchise QB and a change of pace back.

We can't cover every need... besides we did have a draft last year and there are players developing. What makes you think that a safety we draft in the 5th round will be better than RoJo or Rolle? At some point you have to have faith in the picks you made last year developing.

I'm a big fan of them drafting all the high-character workhorses. Even if they're not the most talented bunch in the world, Munchak is trying to set up a hard working culture for the Titans and I appreciate that.

To say that you can pick better than scouts that do this as a full-time job is also pretty hilarious. You also have no clue what kind of scheme they're trying to run and who fits into it. You've probably made one or two picks in the past that have panned out and are completely ignoring the 50 other picks that have flopped.
