Jim Schwartz and The Lions

They need a RB and a secondary.

 

Before we give Schwartz too much credit for the selection, how much power does he in have in who the Lions draft?


I will say this, I'd trade our whole team for Suh and Fairley. I thought that was an amazing selection for them.

 

When I heard that Detroit drafted Fairley my jaw dropped. Their defensive line is going to be suffocating for opposing offenses. I'm just thankful the Lions are tucked safely, far away in the NFC North.

He was mediocre at his DC position, a product of his players. He did the same BS that Chavis did at UT, and that Cecil did here. Quit being so naive, or thinking he's some savior. He got two early 1st round picks because they were terrible, and they picked the same position, big deal. It would have been more of a story if he picked poor players, all he did was bring common sense to their draft day.

 

Common sense is usually more than what the Titans bring on draft day.

They have made several great first round choices the past few years and are drafting well outside the first. The Lions are slowly going to turn themselves around.

 

Probably a lot. He is the coach.

 

But he's not the GM. Just because Fisher had a lot of say in who we drafted here doesn't mean every organization is like that.

 

They just picked up a bust in Titus Young.

They just picked another bust in Mikel Leshoure.

 

No. We wanted him gone because he sucked as a DC.

However, many of us always said he'd make a much better HC than DC... and it looks to be true.


His defensive schemes (unless dictated by Fisher- wouldn't surprise me) were utterly horrible and inexcusable.
