The Pats already screwed us when we traded up with them to take Jared Cook, why not do it again?

Hopefully we can land a trade. I still think our best route to take is to trade with the Rams or Lions. Rams trade up for AJ/Julio, Lions trade up for PP/Amukamara. That way we only drop back a few spots, can draft Locker or Mallett and pick up extra picks. Then go D with all of our next picks.

    Here's my dream draft:
    Trade our 1st & 4th for Rams/Lions 1st & 2nd
    1: (from Lions/Rams): Ryan Mallett
    2: Martez Wilson
    2: Stephen Paea
    3: John Moffitt
    4 (comp): DE

Why would we trade UP to get Ryan Mallet when we could trade much further down to get him?

He has us trading down . . . the lions and rams pick after us. But I agree that we would not pick Mallet at even those two spots.

The endless cycle of us trading backwards to save a little money while sustaining mediocrity never ceases to amaze me. It's absolutely pathetic to see this year after year, especially considering who we end up helping. I will just laugh if we do it again, as it will never change.

I'd stil like to see us draft for defense at 8 but if we can move up in the later part of round one I say go for Kaepernick, Dalton or Ponder in that order.

Um . . . when was the last time we traded back in the early rounds? 2010? No 2009? No 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005? No, No, No, No, No. I don't know what you are really talking about. We rarely trade down in the early rounds and we rarely help anyone by doing so. We have traded up in mid rounds and maybe back in some mid rounds, but not early rounds which is the topic of this thread.

    ....What?

We rarely trade down. Last time we traded down in the first or out of the first in this case was 2004.

Patriots trade down all the time they must be settling for mediocrity. It's not when you pick as much as who you pick.
