No. That's not accurate at all. Locker compares to Roethlisberger. Nobody is bad enough to be compared to Russell.

Oh how great it would have been if people had used this thread that I created for the very purpose of avoiding cluster****s of repetitive threads.

I don't really mind actually. It's survival of the fittest anyway. The threads that people think are best will keep jumping to the top. If your mock draft is crap, it'll die away like most other threads (except Where is VY?).

I'm not sold on any of the incoming QBs, so here's my ideal outcome:

Trade for Carson Palmer - He wants out and the Bengals can then take Newton.
1st Round - AJ Green (WR) - With the Bengals taking Newton instead, we get Green who is possibly better than Britt already.
2nd Round - Marvin Austin (DT) - Going with Green over Fairley leaves a hole in the middle which Austin can easily fill.
3rd Round - Ahmad Black (S) - If he's still there, he would be a great value and can either take over for Hope after a year or possibly beat him out sometime this season.
4th Round (a) - DeMarco Murray (RB) - We NEED a better #2 behind CJ and Murray is a great option to replace CJ if he either goes down or the team is too cheap to pay him.
4th Round (b) - Luke Stocker (TE) - We keep waiting for Cook to develop and fulfill his potential, but Stocker is a guy who can come in and be solid from the start. His ceiling isn't as high as Cook, but he'll be steady and has very good hands.
5th Round - James Carpenter (OG) - The late rounds are where this staff should be able to take O Linemen and make the most out of them.
6th Round - Pat Devlin (QB) - The only QB who could still be here and turn in to a starting QB.
7th Round - Jeremiha Hunter (LB) - Gotta add depth to the LB corps.

As I've said in other threads, I don't follow college ball enough to even pretend to be knowledgeable about most of these guys, so I've tended to stay away from taking part in mock drafts. This year I've decided to dip my toes in the water a little bit. I'm taking on the role of Titans' GM for the mock draft on JetsInsider.com. Currently trying to trade out of #8 :grrhee: . The first two picks are already in the bag with Newton going to the Panthers and Dareus to the Broncos.

I ended up taking Quinn at 8... Newton (Car) and Gabbert (SF) were off the board.

Here's how things have unfolded thus far... Without the ability to trade up, I think I might get screwed out of the next three QB's.

    1. Carolina (Bitonti) - QB Cameron Newton, Auburn
    2. Denver (BeerFish)- DT Marcel Dareus, Alabama
    3. Buffalo (Bay Ridge Jet) -CB Patrick Peterson, LSU

    4. Cincinnati (Ruby2) - WR AJ Green, Georgia
    5. Arizona (SyracuseJet) - LB Von Miller, Texas AM
    6. Cleveland (Paradis) - WR Julio Jones, Alabama
    7. San Francisco (TheMikeisHot) - QB Blaine Gabbert, Missouri

    8. Tennessee (titanbuoy) - DE Robert Quinn, North Carolina
    9. Dallas (MACPAC) - CB Prince Amukamara, Nebraska
    10. Washington (Rexipus Rex) - DE Aldon Smith, Missouri
    11. Houston (Much Ado about nothing) - DT Nick Fairley, Auburn
    12. Minnesota (Bay Ridge Jet) - QB Jake Locker, Washington
    13. Detroit (Paradis) - T Tyron Smith, USC

    14. St. Louis (SyracuseJet) - DE Ryan Kerrigan, Purdue
    15. Miami (BeerFish) - DE Cameron Jordan, CAL
    16. Jacksonville (Rexipus Rex) - DE Da'Quan Bowers, Clemson
    17. New England (Bay Ridge Jet) - DE JJ Watt, Wisconsin

    18. San Diego (TheMikeisHot) - DE Cameron Heyward, Ohio State
    19. New York Giants (Much Ado about nothing) - OL Mike Pouncey, Florida
    20. Tampa Bay (Ruby2) - DE Justin Houston, Georgia
    21. Kansas City (Woody56) - T Gabe Carimi, Wisconsin
    22. Indianapolis (MACPAC) - T Anthony Castonzo, BC
    23. Philadelphia (Ruby2) - CB Jimmy Smith, Colorado

    24. New Orleans (BeerFish) - DT Corey Liuget, Illinois
    25. Seattle (Paradis) - QB Ryan Mallett, Arkansas
    26. Baltimore (Woody56) - T Nate Solder, Colorado

    27. Atlanta (TheMikeisHot)
    28. New England (Bay Ridge Jet)
    29. Chicago (Bitonti)
    30. New York Jets (Woody56)
    31. Pittsburgh (Rexipus Rex)
    32. Green Bay (Bitonti)

The inability to make trades in the JetsInsider mock screwed me out of a QB in the second (unless I wanted to reach for Stanzi). FWIW the first three rounds turned out like this for the Titans...

    08) Robert Quinn DE
    39) Bruce Carter LB
    77) Greg Little WR

    Go Tarheels!

Not how I would have predicted things at all. I reached a bit on Carter, but was kind of spinning a bit as I watched the QB's get taken one after another right ahead of pick 39. In retrospect might have been better off taking Martez Wilson, Danny Watkins or Rodney Hudson (Hudson and Wisniewski went in the few picks prior to the titans pick at 77). Little was somewhat of a BPA pick... as I don't really view WR as a major area of need for the *******.
