I really don't get you or the rest of the Rational Response Squad.

Half if not more of the post on this thread have come from you guys. Then you come in as if you just "glance" at this thread as you explore the site.

Young is currently trade bait. If there's a good offer that comes up, the team will release him. I'm not under the belief that our team will straight up release Young. Why not go ahead and do it? Because Reinfeldt wants to trade him.

If you remember correctly, Bud originally wanted to keep both Fisher AND Vince. Bud got rid of Vince when Fisher said he's not coaching with Vince Young on the team.

Munch fired everybody Fisher was close to. His firing of Dinger was huge. He's made a complete separation from the past organization. It's also reported that Young and Munch had a good relationship. There's reason to believe that Munch would be in support of keeping Young.

The CBA likely won't get resolved prior to the draft (per Goodell yesterday in his press conference) so it means that things couldn't be resolved until close to the season. We need to have a QB before that time so that we can get started with implementing a new offense.


That's why Vince Young is still on the roster. Because our organization isn't stupid. Have they made mistakes in the past? Yes. But they're not stupid.

Some guy on this board went as far as to hack into a guy's blog who was posting content contradictory to ESPN. There was a group on here who wore badges and posted negativity about Young every chance they got.

Am I the only one who thinks that's a little crazy? WTF

 

Funny thing is, they're probably all the guys that argued with me in favor of Vince Young 2 years ago.

 

I'm not very optimistic that Vince will be back with us, but all your points are right on the money. If we were really just fed up with Vince and weren't considering all options then he would have been released already. The fact that he hasn't been released tells me that they are definitely considering everything and that includes keeping Vince for the last year of his deal.

Regardless of what kind of spin everyone puts on this situation, Vince is still a Titan and if there really was zero chance that he comes back then he'd be cut loose by now.

 

Nope, they are considering trading him. There is no chance Vince remains a Titan. There is no way he receives his roster bonus that is due soon after a new CBA gets put in place.

Again the Titans executives and owners have said Vince will not be a Titan, I guess listening to them makes me psychic.


I'm still waiting on your list of the best current NFL qbs.

 

With the current options that have been thrown out, Bulger, Smith, Palmer, etc. It would have to cross the front offices mind about the possibility of retaining Young. Also with no CBA in place who even know if we would be able to get any of these terrible Qbs to replace Young. Young is by far our best option in 2011. Collins is too old and Rusty sucks. Also, Young has made vast improvment over the past two seasons in his footwork, vision, etc. We would be stupid to release Young for nothing.

 

You can't release players untill there is a new CBA, that's why. Or I'm sure they would have.
