I know he was an Oiler, not a Titan but he's still part of the team history. Quality guy.....RIP

"In his seven seasons with the Oilers (1985-1991), Hill had at least 1,000 yards five times. In his other two seasons, he had 989 in the strike-shortened 1982 season and 939 in 1989 when he missed two games because of injuries."

I hate to hear this news as he was one of my favorite players back in the day. We could sure use a player like that now - fearless and professional.

    Ah man that sucks..
    RIP Drew.
Does anyone remember a Monday Night Game: Oilers v Browns - maybe late 80's, and there was a real serious helmet to helmet injury that delayed the game for 30 mins or so. Was this Drew Hill?

Probably the best WR in the most prolific passing offense. Sorry to hear it. Played in the Superbowl in 79. Two time Pro-Bowler.

Him and Haywood made an interesting team with Warren Moon, I remember wathing his small self running around. He will be missed.

That sucks. A great player and a guy I don't recall ever seeing interviewed. When I read Warren Moon's autobiography I noticed he took great care to name virtually every receiver he played with from pop-warner to Kansas City... yet Drew Hill's name isn't mentioned once. Pretty strange considering how vital a cog he was during Moon's most successful years. It made me wonder what was up with the quiet, enigmatic Hill. Perhaps I'll never know.

I don't recall the year but Hill made the most amazing catch I've ever witnessed. Trailing against the Bengals late in the game the Oilers were running the hurry up and driving down the field. Hill ran a short crossing route and Moon fired the ball low and away from him. Hill leaned forward and caught the back half of the ball with his fingertips... it seemed to defy physics as the majority of the ball was passed him and inches from hitting the turf. As the clock was running, and it was a pretty short gain there wasn't much time to focus on the catch, but they did sneak in one replay... I honestly don't remember the game's specific outcome, but I do know I have it on tape somewhere, which means the Oilers won (there's no way I'm keeping a tape of the frickin' Bagels beating the Oilers).

    RIP 85

    Gone way too young.

I learned the game watching the runand shoot.

    Hill was an amazing WR.

    RIP
