HS QB: Maty Mauk = Future Titan Prospect?

    I know this guy personally, he's a great person, young but still has his head on his shoulders..

    plays basketball and runs track in the football offseason

    is the #1 QB in the nation in stats '10, and top 3 in the nation in stats, '09

    Has had offers from Notre Dame, Cincinatti, Michigan, Ohio St. has expressed interest; Mizzou, etc.

    and will be debuting his Senior season and State-Title run this August....

    The thing that impressed me most was how even when scrambling, he kept his eyes downfield and was lookin for a receiver. That plus his deep ball is just insane for a junoir in high school

    Agree on the arm...he has a gun alright. He also looks deceptively fast, but this is high school competition. Any idea what his 40 time is?

    This is not a knock on him (since he is still in high school), but the highlights show everything running out of the shotgun. Does he take snaps under center?

    He had a couple of Favre moments with the option flips into the end zone...which is pretty cool to watch, but would come back to bite him as the level of competition gets better.

    So he's at least 4 years from being NFL eligible. I hope we aren't still looking for a QB in 4-5 years from now.

    Ive seen far too many phenom prospects flake off at each level.

    Looking at a high-schooler is ok if he's a prospect of your college team.. but NFL? Really?

    I would love to see Maty as a Titan, well not so much that as much as it is i would hate my team to be the on the other side....


    And I brought him up because it is a TOPIC OF DISCUSSION.. Footnotes or no footnotes (i.e talking about a HS FB player in NFL) it's Something outside of the traditional NFL or College Ball boxes..

    Would you rather me post a thread about How rough-looking Tom Petty is becoming, or maybe stir up the fans of Jersey Shore by posting a hate thread to snooki? (lol)
