Dude, why don't you put up the teams he actually played with winning records? You don't pick and choose what teams you want his record to be against. This is each QB's records vs winning teams when they faced the last 5 years since VY has been in the league.

I picked the Titans top AFC competition since that is our direct competition. Does a win against a 9-7 NFC team mean as much as a win against the Chargers or Colts?

Aaron Rodgers just won the superbowl and the superbowl mvp and was dominant in the playoffs.

I can't believe some of you still think Vince is better than AR.



I mean, is this all yall got? You don't like my stats because it shows VY sucks against the top AFC teams? I don't get to pick and choose what stats I want to look at even if they are totally relevant to becoming AFC champion and making a superbowl? Yall are a f'n joke with your manlove.

 

Alex, I think you know how to read, it's the comprehension part you fail at.

1) Because by just showing those teams only and not showing how the rest of the NFL QB's stacks up mean absolutely nothing. All but 3 QB's in the NFL have bad resumes vs teams with 9-7 records or better. Why you don't understand that is mind boggling.

2) I'm not the one comparing VY and Aaron Rodgers. You are the one that said VY is not consistent against good teams and I'm pointing out just how flawed your statement is. Because according to you, Aaron Rodgers is not consistent vs winning teams. He has a superbowl now. Did Aaron Rodgers, P Manning, or Drew Brees have superbowl rings at this point of VY's career? It took Manning 9 seasons to win a superbowl. It took Drew Brees 9 years. It took Aaron Rodgers 6 years in the league of learning and then playing to get his superbowl.

If you are setting the standard for an NFL QB to match what Aaron Rodgers did last year then pssssssst, McNair never had a year like Aaron Rodgers just had. To show you how stupid your comment is, take away the QB position from all of these teams including the Titans. Has the Titans ever come close the last 5 years in fielding a team as good as the Steelers, Patriots, Chargers, or the Colts? Maybe one or two times vs maybe one or two teams might (that's a very big "might") But No we haven't and if you think we have then you have no clue what your talking about.

So nothing you are saying is bring up even a little bit of a point. Your hatred for VY has you trying to compare great teams and their QB's to bad team's and their QB's. Your hatred for VY has you comparing veteran QB with several years of more experience to a younger QB. Your hatred for VY has you trying to ignore what the records of almost all QB's when facing those good teams. And finally your hatred for VY has your head up your ...

 

I think what Alex was trying to show, was not VY's W/L record against top competition, but how he played against those teams. That shows much more then the W/L record does. The W/L record of a QB is not a viable stat in my opinion, because too much other stuff goes into whether a team wins or loses. It's the same as I dont look at the W/L record of a pitcher in baseball. I look at the # of quality starts (6ips with 3 ERs or less). Show me how the QB or pitcher played, did they give the team a chance to win? That is what is important.

Look, there is no doubt that VY has made strides to becoming a good NFL QB. To continue towards becoming a "franchise" QB, he needs to do 3 things...

1. Stay healthy
2. Control his emotions
3. Put in the extra work in the film room

If he can do those 3 things, whichever team lands him will be very pleased with what they got.

 

But for him to make that a valid point he has to prove several things.

1) He has to show what all the QB did against those team and what their stats was for that to mean something. My daughter just got a 70 on her Biology test in honor classes. Did she do well on the test? Yes because the grades ranged from 70 to 10. It was a very hard test and she scored the highest.

2) Did VY have the same talent to work with than those 4 teams he mentioned?

3) Did he have the same experience as the four teams mentioned?

He can't just make one blanket statement without it sounding stupid.
