VY is still on the team...

At the 5 year mark in their careers, who had a better winning percentage? When did Peyton Manning 1st win his Super Bowl? Which team had the better coaching staff? Which team had the better receivers?

When Manning did win his 1st Super Bowl it was in 2007. He was the SB MVP but his stats were not stellar (not bad either). He was 25 of 38 247 1 TD 1 Pick...his rating was 81.8. It took him 9 years to get to the Super Bowl.

I'm not comparing Vince Young to Peyton Manning at all. What I am saying is that the QB position takes time. Vince has gotten better throughout his entire career and at this point of his career his throwing is excellent. He has accuracy, he has touch, and his decision making has greatly improved. On top of that, he was the most explosive running QB in the league when he 1st entered.

Because of an altercation leaked to the media and used as a wedge issue by the coach, VY is set to be shipped off.

Bud should've stuck with his original stance. The coaches would've bailed on Fish anyway but at least we'd have a QB and be looking to top the division.

and that tells you what now? That the VY "saga" wasn't just Fisher..
Current coaching, team management and ownership wants VY off the books. He can follow his QB coach who said he wanted him up in Minny (though he didn't really say that - did he?)
    Accept it.
And sorry, three wins (as YV managed in 10) does not put you atop the division.
Of course there's a thread where this belongs - you know - the one where you're telling people not to post.

The coaching staff and the owner didn't want Young off the team. Tell me how you reasoned that one out.

The coaching staff bailed on Fisher after the season. Fisher got what he wanted (Young off the team) and his staff still bailed on him. And along with his old position coach that went to Minny, Washburn, our most respected position coach, took off to Philly. Along with him our WR's coach left too.

So, you have both the WR and RB coaches leave and then when the new head coach is hired, he fires the last Fisher tie in Dinger. It sounds like the coaching staff was really pro-Fisher.

On top of that, Young had players publicly support him despite Fisher keeping the team hush hush.

Bud Adams, the OWNER of the organization, wanted to bring Young back.

I'll give you that Reinfeldt and Underwood wanted Young gone, but to be perfectly honest I was hoping they'd be gone too.

And referring to VY's season, what do you mean his 3 wins? VY played at a very high level all season last year.

And I'm not telling people not to post in the "All Things VY" thread. I'm telling people to stop posting complaints about VY when poster say anything positive about the guy or question the organization's current decision.

There ya have it Mr. "Rational Response Squad"

Cruds......you can't argue with dolts. Give it up, he's gonna embelish on the same drivel he's used for months. notice the past month or 2 his info has become quite exagerated? It's all a circle jerk.

You really think that if Munch wanted Young on the team now that they wouldn't keep him? The new coaching staff doesn't want him either.

That's all the evidence you need.

He was talking the old coaching staff.

I can't remember where, and its not confirmed, but one of the posters actually mentioned that VY and Munch were on good terms.

Munch said, "The VY issues has already been taken care of". As in, the issue has already been taken care of. I haven't heard him say anything positive or negative of Young. I doubt any of them would say anything before trade offers are made.

I think that poster was repeating an interview that VY had with a radio host in Houston. Vince said that He and Munch were good friends. I can't say one way or the other, all I know is what has been said. The titans are looking to draft a rookie QB and sign a veteran; if there was any thought to keeping VY on the team, why on earth would anyone say that in a press interview. Didn't Munch say that the VY issue had been already taken care of.
AS far as players standing up for VY, CJ chased after VY after he stormed out of the locker room and BEGGED him to return, but he didn't. Britt wore his numbered towel to show that he still had faith in VY to be a QB in the NFL, not that he sided with him (my opinion only) in how he acted.
After two months of your ramblimgs about how Fisher conspired to ruin VY, how the current coaching staff conspired to rid us of our only chance at a winning season by kicking VY off the team and even with the statements by the new HC concerning VY's status with the Titans, I can only come to one conclusion, you must be VY in disguise.
However, I do get your passion.

    Why couldn't someone be anti-Fisher anti-VY?

It was obvious Washburn was anti-VY with his comments that we hadn't had a real QB since McNair.

Griffin was the one who supposedly chased after Vince not CJ. Griffin denied it. Was Young told to leave the meeting by Fisher or did he storm out of the meeting? Conflicting reports (neither of us know which happened).

Despite your opinion of the Britt incident, he supported Young. CJ wanted him back on the team. He was "speechless" when he found out Young was being let go.

All of that is irrelevant. The decision to keep, trade, or release Young is not up to me, you, the Rational Response Squad, or any other poster on here.

The debate that several posters have made, is that Young is better than the options we currently have. Nobody is saying Young WILL be back next year. Can't tell you a poster who has said that.

Vince Young is better than the options we have presented though.

We haven't. Not even this year. Fisher couldn't make up his mind.
