Remember Rusty Smith?

How is it pretty hard to suck as much as Rusty Smith when almost every rookie QB does?


Man, fans are the most fickle and contradicting people on earth.

Scott Tolzien can go undrafted and still have a better NFL career than Cam Newton.

 

I like this guy a lot ... and with this QB class ... I think we could bring a veteran and let see what Rusty can do in TC, PS and tree or four games, if he didn't go, we draft some one next year! I am some skeptik about this QBs at Draft!

 

I'm not saying he couldn't be good. I'm just saying he wasn't. When watching him, I didn't ever think to myself "with a bit more practice this guy can get it".

I only wondered why we used a pick on him. Run him through another TC and then he and Donnie Nickey can help pack each others bags if it doesn't work out.

Yes. And they were right.

He's way too inaccurate (or at least inconsistent with his passes) and the Packers would've won two or three more Super Bowls if he didn't sling the ball around like it was pre-season. Hell of an arm; terrible decision making.

One of the most overrated players in NFL history. No doubt.

Randy Moss never caught a TD pass for the Titans.

 

It's not like Rusty was just thrown in at the deep end.

He had time prepping as the #2 and a full week preppings as the #1for the Houston game. Remember Houston officially had the worst pass defense in the league.

He in no way embarrassed himself but as the game progressed the more he unravelled.

I'm no expert but he doesn't look to have the poise required to be a QB. No amount of study or practice will fix that.
