Mike Tice would be a great choice for OC. Those who say they are not impressed with his resume must not know how to read a resume. How many other coaches have that kind of experience and background? He has been an o-line coach, a TE coach, a head coach and an assistant head coach. All that in addition to a long playing career as a TE. He has a great resume!

Jim Zorn? His 2 offenses with the skins sucked. The redskins offense totally and completely underacieved their talent level. What young QBs has he developed? He didn't do anything for Jason Campbell's game.

Tom Clements? He WAS AN OC for 2 years already and sucked! How many are not getting this? His offense with the Bills under Mike Mularkey averaged 27th.

    Try again..

Lol even with 4 pro bowl players on that offense they were 26th and 28th respectively in scoring offense under Zorn and Sherman Smith. That offense was a joke and since they averaged 12th in total D it was the offense that kept that team from winning and the inept offense that got Zorn fired.

The Vikings offense with Mike Tice as head coach averaged 5895 yards a season which is good enough for 7th in the NFL this year.

His "randy ratio" goal of getting the ball to his best players would apply to Kenny Britt no? Sounds like a good idea to me.

And tice's Vikings despite not being a conservative running type team averaged 11th in rushing offense.

I would like to see a few candidates interviewed instead of a one and done approach. How would Tice compare in a head to head interview with other candidates?

Rolltide made some great points. I trust Munch to make the right personnel decisions. He seems to be about winning more than politics. I like the direction our team is heading.

I like the chemistry possibilities with Munch and Bruce.

I think Tice can get some consistency back into our running game so it is more like it was in 08 and 09. He will get the most out of our most talented players like CJ, Britt and Cook.

He will run a version of the WCO that everybody wants.

He's just a real solid guy.

As for the sack problem the Bears had? Mike Martz is the worst OC in the league at protecting his QB. There is a lot of film that shows how Cutler absolutely did not recognize the blitz when it was obvious and the Bears just were not very talented up front.

    One more thing..

If there is an offensive coordinator who can get Randy Moss to come back here for another year and play motivated football wouldn't that be Mike Tice?

Whatever Moss has left Tice is one guy who can tap that and get something out of it.

I'm against bringing Moss back here but if Tice gets the job i would be for it.

I would be okay with Mike Tice as I don't really have a good idea as to who we should bring in as OC. My only trepidation with him is the fact we have no idea what he will do as a offensive play caller. Still Tice has been in the league along time and has worked with a lot of team with a lot of offensive systems. WCS: Whatever he brings in will be better the Fisher approved pop warner scheme.
