It's pretty obvious Munchak wants to run the WCO. Callahan runs it, Tom Clements runs it. I personally love the switch, it's just very important to find the right QB to lead it. I would also assume it would take us out of the Cam Newton/Ryan Mallett/Jake Locker picture. We can already see Munchak is adapting to what works in the modern NFL world.

I'm all for the GB QB coach. He coached Flynn who could be a potential Titan next year (though I doubt it).

"god please say no to mike tice."

    Why? Specifics please.

Clements was an OC for 2 years with the Bills under Mularkey and the offense sucked.

I think it is interesting that Clements who was an OC of 2 bad offenses gets so much love here and Sherman smith who had 2 bad offenses gets a mention here but Mike Tice has never been an OC and he is not acceptable?

So has the Mangini speculation ended?

I've noticed that since Fisher is out, the talks of Mangini have started to lose steam.

Is Gray still in Nashville? Last I heard he was, but that was this AM. I kind of figure he wouldn't be interviewing for the job if he didn't intend on taking it.

Very exciting times with all these changes! :D

Why i like Mike Tice as OC..

    1. Experience. 28 years as a player and a coach.

    2. Variety of experience. He has been a head coach, assistant head coach, TE coach and offensive line coach. He knows an nfl offense from several different angles.

    3. The running game. I think he has some good ideas for how to run the ball against bigger fronts like the typical 3-4. I think he would make better use of CJ. The Bears' running game looked somewhat anemic this year but they averaged 4 yards a carry for the first time since 2005. Just 2 years ago the Bears only averaged 3.1 yards a carry.

    4. Type of offense. Tice would probably run a modified version of Mike Martz's offense(A modified west coast) with more emphasis on the running game and protecting the QB. See Scott Linehan who was Tice's OC in Minnesota who runs that type of offense for the Lions. The offense would involve using motion to over load a zone or to create matchup problems.

    5. He will help to develop Jared Cook and find ways to get the most value out of him.

    6. He should be able to work well with both Munch and Matthews.

Tice did a tremendous job with the Bears OL last season. He's as good an OC candidate as I've heard yet.
