    Very nice to see Munch being open to whatever is going to help the team. This guy seems like he's willing to bend on a lot as long as the players and coaches are doing their jobs.

    I like that. I don't think that the 3-4 is the end all be all like a lot of posters, but it probably isn't a bad idea to make the defense more versatile.

    It is when nobody has discussed it on the forums and it's a pretty decent topic of interest with the whole Fisher/Munchak comparison/debate.

    We've done this before. Antwan Odom used to play standing up a lot. Jacob Ford did it a little bit this year too.

    Yea I do remember instances where our 4-3 sometimes did look like a 3-4, but not very much. In 08 it was more common for us since Big Al commanded so much attention.

    these days it pays to have an extra DE or two and the option of playing multiple fronts depending on the down and distance. Not many teams stay in their base D throughout the game

    I think 7 of the top 10 scoring defenses were 3-4. What model were the two defenses in the Super Bowl again? I can't remember.
