If by mistake you mean clearing the decks for a stable personality at QB then let the talks begin.

It makes perfect sense why Fisher hated Vince Young. Vince DESTROYED his team in the worst way on national television in the greatest performance by a college QB ever.

Vince Young's ability to win carried over to the NFL as well despite people in the media (Hoge) doubting his abilities to pass the ball.

I think we've all seen that even the elite passers (Sanchez, Cutler) struggle transitioning into the NFL. It takes a while to adjust to the game but the QB position takes a long time to develop.

I'd say 30-17 is a damn good record and what makes it more impressive is that he was thrown in the fire as a rookie and never had the chance to be groomed.

Vince Young will return to his college dominance. I hope it is as a Titan. If not, he will come back to haunt us.

If Jeff Fisher did one thing right in the past five years it is this. He protected VY like a father would protect any 13 year old girl. Vince has the tools to be a good QB in the NFL.. His problem is he has absolutely no maturity. He won 30 games here in Nashville and threw for over 250 yards once. If the run game was doing amazing he could win the game... If the run game was doing OK, we had a chance. If the run game wasn't so hot, we lost. Sounds like an average QB to me.

I love to hear all the hate about Fisher toward Young. It's ludicrous. VY has been a problem to Fisher, on and off, since he arrived. And Fisher has always stood up for him. Never thrown him under the bus. And after all that VY throws him under the bus in a way that is an embarassment to this organization and league. Do you know how many of these players make millions of dollars a year playing a game? Alot. Do you know how many of them throw it away, because they are completely immature? Vince.

Trust me Fisher will be happier wherever he goes.. He doesn't have to deal with Vince. And the next HC that does have to deal with him... God bless

I genuinely would like to see Vince Young make it as an NFL starter.

He brought a lot of his troubles on himself by all accounts but I also blame Fisher for a large part of VY's issues in Nashville.

The trouble is that he has so many immature moronic fans on this board that think he is the 2nd coming. These looney tunes make every thread something about Vince and it's totally gay.

Some of you VY homers need an intervention.

    Root for the guy
    Be his loyal fans

But for goodness sake lighten up and don't be so fragile.

The problem is that some of you fans are blind to what you have here in Nashville. The grass is always greener...

I know the sport. I know talent when I see it. I know untapped talent when I see it.

People thought Jared Cook was a bust (because Fisher mismanaged his talent and killed his confidence his rookie year after he literally killed preseason).

People started a thread talking about trading CJ. WTF?!! The guy steal was almost the leading rusher when he was being run up the middle 20 times a game. Talk about a tough MF.

People even wanted to release Tulloch. Whaaat? He was 2nd in the league in tackles. What was people's reasoning? He can't cover.

Well no sh*t, he's a MLB. The OLB's should be the primary cover backers. The MLB needs to be a run stopper first which he was great at.

So no, just because there's a lot of bad group think going on doesn't mean I'm going to value your opinion.

With Vince Young we had the #1 scoring offense. Fact.

That's not nut swinging...thats stating the facts.

Vince Young gives us the best chance of winning a championship NEXT YEAR.

Current Giants DC and Titans HC candidate Perry Fewell acknowledged the Titans' need for a franchise quarterback following his Friday interview.
"That would be the challenge," Fewell said when asked about finding a quarterback. "They have one of the best backs in the league and a great offensive line. They have very talented receivers. So just adding another piece to that puzzle should help the Titans win the division and then enter the playoffs." It's encouraging for Titans fans that Fewell understands the need for a new signal caller, but current OL coach Mike Munchak remains the frontrunner to land the job. At this point it looks like a decision won't be made until after the Super Bowl.

Complete BS. Fisher stands up for the guy by benching him? After he saved his job and this team? I don't buy it.

What player sided with Fisher in this whole ordeal??

Chris Hope is the only one I've heard give any type of endorsement. Probably because his job was on the line.

The locker room was divided between players who just wanted to win, and players who's jobs might be on the line if Fisher were to go.

I heard it took asking 6 different crews before anyone agreed to remove Vince from the side of the stadium.
