Nope, still need permission from the Texans. The only position the titans wouldn't need to seek permission is HC.

Yeah, I've been trying to figure it out all day too. They fire Fisher and promote Munchak with an extension....who will keep the staff intact.

I don't see how we stay in house...Firing fisher and getting rid of VY hints towards starting a new regime. Hiring someone from Fisher's staff ..contradicts everything we've done this offseason

That's ignorant. To start he is a year and a half younger then Jeff fisher not older and you have no idea what his general coaching philosopy will be. He's a smart guy.

Fisher's lack of success was his inability to execute his own philosophy of winning like not having a good defense year in and year out and this year not having a consistent running game.

The best teams in this league play good defense and run the ball. The notion that we should be more modern by running a spread is stupid.

The Steelers, Jets and Ravens had an almost perfect 50-50 run pass ratio this year. Who coaches those teams?

I have nothing against Munchak but to promote him to HC isn't inspiring much confidence that anything will change.

    Concern #1 is Amano.
Was it Fishers or Munchak's decision to start him at centre over Harris?
If he's still at centre next season under Munchak then we know right away that Munchak is a clueless idiot.

    Concern #2

Bud is no longer mentally up to making key decisions.
Dumping Young and Fisher appears to show that Bud has fire in his belly and wants to see his team win because he's not got long to live.

Hiring from within contradicts all of the above nd suggests Bud cars more about money than winning.

Why nit pick about one or 2 decisions? Munchak coached the offensive line since 1997 and we all have to agree he did a solid overall job. Our running game was dominant in 08 and 09.

How many pro bowl players from that line did he have in that time other than Matthews? Hopkins made one and Mawae made one as far as i can remember.

The bigger question is the defense and cecil shouldn't be the only one losing his job and nobody still on our defensive staff should get any kind of a promotion.

Amano at centre is not nit picking. It was the key reason the O line had a bad year. If he's at Centre in 2011 theline will be awful again.

If Munchak is named HC I'll support him 100%.

Yes defensive coaches , I don't see that we have anyone in house worth a dime.

I have mixed feelings on whether I support the idea of Munchak as head honcho. His unit is directly connected to us sucking in 2010. But I do like the possibility of Bruce returning. You think his son stays if he's hired? Kevin Matthews played good in the last game.
