For me, I liked him up until the Billy Volek thing. I really feel like he started looking out for his own self interest rather than the team at that point. It made no sense to me.

You say this as if it was Fisher who let loose McNair. We've seen Fisher do NOTHING but blow it with EVERY QB that's ever passed through Tennessee. Why do you think the guy LOVES Super Bowl losing QB's? Because he himself has no clue.

I really thought highly of Fisher even through the "Cap Hell" years...but I started to realize after the Ravens playoffs loss that a new philosophy and style were needed here in Tennessee. That being said, I do appreciate Fisher's role in coaching those great teams we had from 1999-2003, although I do believe our lack of glory is in-part his responsibility.

Taking personal shots? I've got a pretty nice life. You'd envy it, no doubt- in one way or another.

    And Jeff Fisher sucks.

It can't be THAT stressful if you never take blame for anything, and 8-8 is a successful year by the majority of the fans and coaches standards..

Fisher sucks, I'm glad he's gone, and I don't appreciate anything he's done for us.

    long overdue.

8-8 is a successful year by WHO's standard?

Christ, no wonder this guy kept his job. People truly think not failing is "success".

If you only did your job half the time, your employer would be ok with that? Better yet, consider it a "success"? Must be nice.

yes I am taking personal shots. You don't need to post 5 times in this thread of your disdain for Jeff Fisher. I'm pretty sure every regular reader of this forum knows your opinion.

And I'm sure the few that don't know it, would quickly realize it from reading other threads.

Are you not grateful for anything Fisher did here? Like I said originally, one thing I don't question is that Fisher worked hard, he put in hours. The first few seasons once we became Titans were a dream for Nashville.

And if nothing else, Fisher did a LOT for the Nashville community.

Showing just an ounce of respect really shouldn't be so difficult.

    You misread my post.

I'm saying, Fisher's daily grind couldn't have been that stressful when he was allowed to work with such low standards. The dude was Mr. 8-8 for 17 years and still 65% of the fanbase thought he should have kept his job.

When you think about it, there is no reason this move shouldn't have been made long ago (4-5 years ago).
