08 again, seriously? In 08 our d-line was everywhere, our linebackers could cover, Finnegan was Hines Ward on D, Mike Griff was a monster, Hope wasn't washed up... oh, and almost forgot. Albert Haynesworth.

If you still haven't caught on by now, we had a defense that year, we had none of the above last season. So what happens when your defense sucks? You use your weapons on offense. The great Fisher comprehended that in week 15, bravo.

More from the great mind of Fisher:

Using 190 pound Chris Johnson the same way he used Eddie George.

Not only playing Washington over Moss, but Justin Gage as well. But that's not even the best part. You need to convert 4th and 20 to stay alive, you have a guy that makes a career by catching the deep ball (oh, and he just happens to be 6'4") and you don't even put him on the field. Brilliant. I'm sure being the great Fisher, he had a good reason, probably didn't think Moss knew what a streak was seeing how he was new and all, so he went with Gage instead.

Not letting the "Jacksonville game" go 2 years later. Not a single person here will condone what Vince did that day, but you have a super talented quarterback, the same one that gives you your best chance of winning, who had a fragile mind that was holding him back, goes 9-2 while getting his confidence back (and saving your job in the process) and you yank him in the middle of week 2. I'll be really surprised if Fisher didn't major in Psychology.

As for 09, Collins or Vince, we weren't going anywhere, but Vince > Collins and Fisher opted to sit the guy that gave the team the better chance to win. "<i>But Vince played against inferior teams!"</i> Yeah, yeah, true, but 59-0? Lol, common man, no matter how good they are... Morale was at an all time low, no way we win 8 games after the bye if Fisher wasn't forced to take out Collins, you might not want to admit it, but in your heart, you know it and I know it. Inferior teams or not, Vince provided a spark and made everyone around him better. We all saw the same attitude again this year. Trust me, it was no coincidence our defense started making some plays after Vince came in.

As for last season, I wasn't sold on Vince or Collins as the one to lead our team to the promised land. Vince made his bed with his tantrum and I didn't expect him to return, and Collins can't even throw it 30 yards anymore. But the point isn't VY vs. KFC, it's that some of the "Fisher love = Vince hate" on here (like from yourself) are getting ridiculous, he has been a problem for the last 2 seasons. <i>"Blah-blah-blah, but his resume speaks for itself."</i> Oh, you mean his whopping 2 playoff wins in the past decade...

Than add those 22 that you subtracted, because he should have been the starter, but he was busy supposedly learning a lesson about throwing tantrums. Obviously he didnt, but he SHOULD have been the starter and wasnt. Add those 22 games back, 47/80=.5875, or .59.

So... You're saying starting less than 60% of games is good? And those are the numbers he "should have played?"

    A little over half?
That alone is basis to be done with someone.

Lets use our brains. Why would I think that is good. I am just saying that he should have been the starter, but because of his first tantrum he wasnt. No I do not think a 60 percent start rate is good at all, and in fact think he should have been let go then but thats neither here nor there.

I read a recent article that said NO TEAM would have Vince as their starter. During the 'decision', there were some talks of Bud actually being able to get a draft pick for the rights to Fisher if he decided to keep VY. I don't ever recall a coach with that sort of demand. And, the smartest football minds and decision makers on earth make these calls, not Darrell from the auto parts store.

Emotion can be a terrifying thing if you let it grab hold of you. Go to every teams forum in the league and see which ones have fans begging for Vince. Well, none will be 'begging' but a few of the absolutely terrible franchises or teams with guys that weren't even drafted to be QB as their current starting QB are a little torn on whether to give him a shot or not.
