My 1st NFL game was a Titan game which only increased the team's appeal to me after finding out number 27 played for them and I don't see that ever changing, whether the players or the coaches do.

And I have family in Tenn. & they get season tickets so that makes it even more wonderful

I think many want to go into a coma until Fisher is gone.

You know that you're a fan when you can never truly leave the team. It's like not being able to leave your girlfriend because of the sex life. You'll have good times, you'll have bad times...but the sex is always good.

The Titans may be 6-10, but the love will always be there.

Horrible analogy but it works for me.

I agree with RollTide's post several pages ago...not sure why folks from Texas would want to follow the team to Nashville after Bud moved them out.

I was raised in Missouri, and was a big Cardinals (yes, they were in St. Louis once, for all of you youngsters) fan. When they left the state in 87, I completely stopped following them, and had no idea why the local stations kept showing their games. I still have no hint of any feeling for them (although that 99 yard drive last year was really fun for me).

I started following the Oilers because I hated the Steelers in the late 70s. Then they plucked Warren Moon in the mid 80s.

I was actually living in middle Tennessee (just moved there) when Houston announced the move. I still remember watching the first Tennessee Oilers game in Memphis (against the Jeff George led Raiders) on TV in Murfreesboro. Eddie and Steve had no quit in them, which is what got me hooked. I loved the team's toughness and refusal to quit (something that is lacking now incidentally).

After that, and two moves (South Carolina and now Wisconsin) later by me, they remain my team, and will continue to be so.

My attitude here and now is that we have started to right the ship, still have some moves to make, and that next year will likely be better than this year (maybe not the W/L record, but hopefully the team will start to get back some of the fight that made me a fan back in 97).

When I started watching football when I was little I loved Eddie George and Steve McNair, so much heart soul grit and toughness, I loved it

My grandparents and father were italian immigrants and within a few years of coming over they had took a liking to Dan Pastorini...and the oilers/titans fan hood has been in my family ever since

I will say this that there is a difference being a Bear fan and a Titan fan. In Chicago the team can suck for a very long time yet they rarely have discussions like this. You are a fan for life and so are your kids and grand kids. That's the way it is for teams that have been around the league so long. They complain and moan about the results but they don't consider jumping ship. Even Lions fans have not jumped ship.

Here the Titans were something new and exciting with exciting players like Steve and Eddie. Going to the super bowl and having a great team right away was orgasmic so after that great run it is hard to swallow losing.

We all thought that the rough times of 04 and 05 were just because of injury and cap hell that the team would rebuild and be back on top. In some ways that happened in 07 and 08 but we are really frustrated now.

Let's see what happens. Fisher should really have the fire in a contract year and he should be tired of losing as much as we are. If he doesn't do well next year he won't have a contract and will be gone.

The same way as being a true fan of any other team: stick by them through good and bad times. *hint-hint, wink-wink*

Couldn't they have least taken an interest in a player who didn't suck?
