thats not a bad idea... let some of this "hype" that fisher is the god of football pay off a bit. considering it hasnt shown up on the field in quite a while, sounds like an awesome idea to me!

I'd be all for this...although I also have this crazy idea about starting Rusty Smith 16 games next year now that Andrew Luck has said he will stay in school. :ha:

Great plan, if it happens. I'd love for this to come thru. Man that would make this offseason a lot shorter.

I don't know 24, I think he's on to something. I noticed that about Fisher too, I think Florio's right on the money. Fisher definitely smirked, almost even laughed. Bud's statement is as telling as Florio says it is too. He didn't say that he told Jeff and Mike to look at the future quarterback of the franchise, he didn't even mention Jeff. I think that Bud's family or whoever it is closest to him is advising him in addition to Underwood and Reinfeldt.

I hope he doesn't stop with the release of Vince, Vince didn't deserve to be making 12 million a year and cutting him makes a lot of sense from that standpoint. Fisher also needs to go, assuming Harbaugh takes the Miami job, I think that San Francisco or even Denver would like to have Fisher.

At least I hope they do. Not saying it happens but could we technically trade Coach Fisher for Kyle Orton? That wouldn't be too bad of a deal, we get a solid starting caliber QB and Denver gets their franchise savior.

Maybe, I guess I just have a natural disdain for Florio. Everything he says is speculation. There was not one shred of fact behind that theory of his. Like I said though, I wouldn't mind getting something in return for Fisher. I think he's gone in one year anyway.

Florio and PFT are to Pro Football what TMZ is to Hollywood. His job is to create sensational headlines and pass rumors on. He's basically a high tech blogger. Sometimes he's spot on, but many times he's out in left field. When he smells blood in the water he creates tons of stories and headlines (true and false).

    It's working, he gets viewers.

Heres some great Fisher info that someone posted on there.

-Fisher has the second lowest winning percentage of coaches with more then 140 wins in the history of the NFL! Only Dan Reeves has a lower rating!

-Jeff Fisher has the fewest winning seasons of any NFL coach who has won 140 games in NFL history.

-He has only been to the Playoffs 6 times in his 17 years as a head coach.

-His performance in the post-season is the third worst in NFL history for coaches with over 140 wins! Only Chuck Knox and Marty Schottenheimer have a worse winning percentage in the playoffs.

He’s a bust, he should have been fired years ago but someh

Yea, can't take Florio at face value with his speculations... but he is right about the compensation thing. And you do have to wonder what all the smirking was about as he hid behind the technicality of the word "trade"... you know that Fisher is well aware that he could be effectively traded like Edwards was.

I don't buy his plan B theory about Miami or other teams that don't get Harbaugh. But if Bud is seriously evaluating Fisher and the coaching staff (who Fisher is ultimately responsible for - he hand picked them all) then there is still a good chance that Adams is shopping Fisher right now. I'm also fairly sure that even if he isn't "traded" if we release him and another team picks him up, then we only pay the difference in his salary. But in that scenario Fisher could decide to take a year off and collect the money anyway.
