It's really hard to determine where we go with questions around Fisher and Young. If Young is gone then we go QB even if Fisher is still there. If Young stays with Fisher there or not I would have to believe we go defense.

Here is my crazy idea for the week (heck month).

Fire Fisher and trade/release Young. Get Jim Harbaugh.

    Trade 2011 1st and 2nd round pick/2012 2nd round pick/CJ to Carolina for 2011 1st/Stewart (The only reason I don't say Williams is because he's a free agent)

    So....

    Harbaugh at HC
    Luck at QB
    Stewart/Ringer

Yeah don't quote me on that.

Just saw ESPN.. McShay (a so called "expert) said Mallett is a late first/2nd rounder. I kinda hope he's right. Look at the teams that need QBs:

    Panthers (Luck #1 Overall)
Cardinals (Gabbert #5 Overall.. according to McShay)
    49ers (7th overall... Newton?)
    Redskins (10th ..unsure)
    Vikings (12th)
Dolphins (15th, I don't think they've give up on Henne. They could possibly go QB, I doubt in the 1st though)

**Keep in mind of possible QBs like: Orton, McNabb, Kolb that could get traded for as well.

and thats it. Then the 2nd comes around. All the teams that need a QB bad took one in the first, and Mallett is still available. If we could get him in the 2nd, that would be gaaareat.

This is impossible to answer since it depends on one huge variable... VY.

    I'll answer it two ways.

If VY stays I'd think the Titans do draft a QB but it will be later, 5th round and beyond.

If VY goes then it becomes very interesting. If VY is shown the door then KC will be re-signed and a QB will be drafted in the first 2 rounds. Honestly I don't see us taking a QB at 8 in this scenario simply because good QB's always fall out of the 1st round. Remember there are only about 5 teams that draft after us that could possibly draft a QB. The problem is that top of round 2 they will start flying off the board, the question is do we move up in round 2 to grab one that's slipped? I can see Mallett, Gabbert, and Locker being there when round 2 begins. If the draft plays out like I think it will then we will probably have to trade up with Carolina or Denver in round 2 to get a QB.

If I were in charge I'd try to move up to 1 and draft Luck, but that's me. The way I look at it is with free agency it's not that difficult to shore up weaknesses for a year so why not get an amazing QB and plug up the leaks in the dam with free agency?

I've said it before, the only QB that warrants the #8 pick is Luck. The defensive talent at the top of the board is too good to pass up. Take the BPA in the 1st, go LB in the 2nd, and then look at QBs in the third. Someone like Ponder, Devlin, or Kaepernick could fall there.

Right now I agree with this. We need more talent on this team and a lot of help on defense.

The conversations between Ponder and Rolle would be epic.
