Adams advised to keep Fisher, ditch Young

    No. Fire his @$$ NOW! He's beyond over rated. Bud needs to cut Fisher's fuzzy face, and pay him what ever difference in salary he has next year to get him to the $6.5M he's due.

    I guess you can put it this way. If it's a new chance that we are talking about...then the Titans organization owes more to Fisher than to VY.

    17 years is a long time. In that time, Jeff Fisher has proven that he's a very good coach with a few killer flaws.

    I'm not convinced there's anything better out there. I also firmly believe that Fisher can win a Super Bowl if things fall the right way. That's how it is for most coaches.

    It just isn't possible to go out and hire a Bill Belichick. Sometimes you're better off with what you have.

    It's been mentioned before, but the Bill Cowher example is apt. Everyone said he couldn't win the big one and that the Steelers should move on. They said he had been with the team long enough. Then he won it all.

    Make sure you put your helmet on here...as someone who has been saying this for awhile now I can tell you that you will be banging your head on this wall for awhile....lots of folks just do not want to understand this.

    However, my mantra for this point has been, and now is, TIME WILL TELL.

    And then he left, they hired Tomlin and HE won it all.

    Meanwhile the Titans do what the Steelers did and stick with their long-time coach. And he proceeds to start 1 season 0-6, then finish the next one 1-8. We should have hired Tomlin when we had the chance. Now we should hire Harbaugh while we have a chance.

    As I've said time and time again, I am fine with Fisher being fired as long as his replacement is an upgrade. And if Vince is gone, too.

    Harbaugh would be great, but we all know the Titans won't be getting him, especially not if he's forced to roll with Vince Young as his quarterback.

    Do you really think Harbaugh wants to leave a top academic school that's running perhaps the most cerebral offense in college football to come coach a quarterback who scored a 6 on his Wonderlic and has a work ethic that's on par with Jamarcus Russell? Nope.

    Why does this still have to be UFC 10: JF vs VY? Why can't the fact that Bud has paid Fisher Millions OVER 17 YEARS to bring him a championship and Fisher simply can't do it? At this point Fisher is acting just as immature as VY with this its him or me nonsense. Jeff is the winner in this situation. The whole VY spat has completely over shadowed the fact that this team stinks and the coach is to blame. Were not 1 QB away from being great. Were still getting outcoached every week.

    As for not becoming the next Raiders. Well, all I can say is they have done more over the last 2 seasons with even less to work with. I wouldn't say the Titans are better than any NFL team in this current state. Again,that's on the coach. If Bud gets rid of VY then so be it but in he needs to get rid of Fisher as well. If that doesn't sit well with Reinfeldt and Underwood then don't let the door hit ya fellas.
