Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate..
We all saw VY on 60 Minutes.. He was an immature kid, which is OK at that age but to say he was poisoned by Fisher into becoming a headcase is far less likely than him just being a young, immature guy with more athletic talent than coping skills.

Eh, don't know how you get that from that.. Whatever. Mort got cut and 95% of the NFL faithful couldn't tell you what camp brought him in without Googling it.

I actually watched this guy play live at the 2009 Hall of Fame game. He WAS awful, even against the Bills scrubs.

I think he was cut in the first round of cuts, which was not soon enough. Did not know he was Chris Mortenson's son, but it sort of makes sense (it was sort of like a reporter playing QB, now that I think more about it).

Yeah, you know he did this to get in the good with Mortensen and the other ESPN group. No way this kid even gets invite to a practice squad team tryout moreless the Tenn Titans. Fisher is the best at playing the media.

I can see that...but I wonder if it is more to do with a little "post-coaching career" pre-planning, rather than what you are suggesting.

That being said, Fisher has been one to bring in sentimental choices to training camp (Jarrett Payton comes to mind, and I am sure that there have been others), so that may just be a habit of his.

Either way, the guy was (very correctly) cut at the first opportunity.

Well I guess there's no way to prove it either way. But to me it's obvious that Fisher is better at buttering up the media than he is at winning football games.

QB rating was just one stat i used, look at all the others! if you're so big on stats, why are you ignoring so many of them? and what about the stat of "number of times causing negative distractions in the media"? VY has several there. what about his wonderlic score? terrible. VY's best stat is one his team helped him get. it's simple-minded to look at only the w/l record and think "well golly gee, this guy must be awesome!"

fair enough point about aikman's QB rating, but the leagues rules have changed since aikman played - it is easier to pass now. besides do you really think that because aikman's passer rating wasn't that much better than VYs that VY may go to the HOF?? the fact is, VY is not a good nfl QB and there's too much negativity surrounding him in the titans organization to keep him. maybe fisher needs to go too, but if i had to pick between the two, i'm keeping fisher.

if you just think fisher is holding young back, and he'll blossom into a HOF qb, we'll see what happens next year, cause you know he won't be playing for fisher. but i doubt a coaching change is going to suddenly grant him the power to read defenses.
